Mombasa Commuter Rail(Phase 1) Almost Complete

Started under the Uhuru regime, the first phase of the envisioned Mombasa commuter rail is almost complete. The first phase is an MGR link from the SGR terminus into Mombasa CBD. The first phase has seen a 480m long railway bridge constructed across the Makupa causeway along the already finished Makupa causeway bridge for vehicles and pedestrians.

This is the first phase in a planned 260 km long commuter rail system to span mombasa and it's metropolitan areas.
