Carlo: No special plans for Rooney

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has no special plans to combat Wayne Rooney in Tuesday night's crunch Champions League clash at Manchester United.
It is widely thought Ancelotti's job could be under threat if his team fail to overturn the 1-0 lead Rooney gave United in the first leg of their quarter-final tie last week.

Regardless of that, Chelsea's season certainly hinges on the outcome of the Old Trafford encounter as their hopes of retaining their Barclays Premier League title now seem distant.
Rooney, fired up in response to a blaze of negative publicity, proved the difference between the sides at Stamford Bridge and Ancelotti is wary of his threat.
The Italian said: "I think that, obviously, Rooney is the most dangerous player in the squad.
"We have to pay attention to his position and his performance. We have to do better than we did in the last game.
"But we don't change our shape, our mentality, our philosophy to control Rooney. We want to play our football at the best level we can."
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed Chelsea, and in particular their owner Roman Abramovich, are obsessed with winning the Champions League.
Yet while there is a feeling Ancelotti could become a victim of Abramovich's ruthless pursuit of European glory if the Blues lose tonight, the former AC Milan boss claims not to be feeling any extra pressure.
The 51-year-old said: "I think that, a lot of times, I played this kind of game with this pressure. But it's not pressure, it's excitement.
"To be involved in this game is fantastic for my job, for my career.
"So I'm not afraid, I'm not worried about this.
"I'm happy to have a possibility to be involved in this game, to use my ability and my skill to give to the players the skills to play at their best."

BUT TO STOP THE BUILDUP YOU WOULD HAVE TO STOP THE MOST UNSTOPPABLE PLAYER IN THE PL THIS YEAR IN NANI SO THATS NOT AN EASY ASK HE DOES HAVE 19 ASSISTS

As a lifelong United fan, I say you are right, DvdItly! Rooney is good, but he gets so much more ink than the whole squad. Yes, he scored the big goal against Chelsea last week, but that sure was a fantastic pass from Sir Ryan. I don't recall anyone's saying anything about that pass. GGMU!

With Rooney if you stop the buildup you stop Rooney. He's not going to create on his own. He'll put it away if put in front of goal. But he's good at finding space and one touches so make him take more than one or two touches and he's rubbish. Stop Giggs and Valencia and you stop Rooney.

Midfielder Frank Lampard has told his Chelsea team-mates they owe it to owner Roman Abramovich to win the Champions League.
The Russian businessman took control of the Stamford Bridge side back in 2003, since when they have won three Premier League titles, three FA Cups and two League Cups.

The Champions League continues to evade Chelsea though, and they will need to do something special if they are to overcome a 1-0 quarter-final deficit against Manchester United at Old Trafford tonight and keep Abramovich's dream alive.
Lampard, 32, was quoted in The Sun as saying: "Everything I've achieved in the last 10 years has only been possible because of the owner's investment.
"I never envisaged that we would be winning league titles, competing in the Champions League and fighting on all fronts year after year so quickly.
"Everything changed when Mr Abramovich arrived in 2003. He has made a huge investment and we are all very thankful.
"I'd be very proud to win the Champions League for a lot of reasons but I definitely understand the thought process that we owe it to him to win it.
"He never sits us down and says 'You must win the Champions League, this is the main thing'. But we all know it would be a fantastic thing to him.
"And he deserves it for all that he has given to the club."

I'm not afraid of getting sacked, says Chelsea manager, Carlo Ancelotti

Chelsea trail to Wayne Rooney's solitary goal from the first leg of the quarter-final and Ancelotti is considering how to get the best out of Fernando Torres, scoreless in 10 appearances since his £50m move in January. The Italian may revert to the 4-3-3 system with which his side won at United en route to claiming the Premier League title last season, which would most likely see Didier Drogba initially confined to the bench. He will hold his pre-match team meeting on Tuesday morning and detail his selection to his players then.
Ancelotti has long said he is happy at Stamford Bridge and eager to remain at the club for the foreseeable future, though a trophyless season – particularly given Chelsea's mid-season toils in the defence of their domestic title – would damage his standing there. Previous managers have been given less leeway than he has enjoyed, though he remains defiant and apparently assured that he will be able to see out the final 12 months of his current deal at least.
Asked whether he would expect to lose his job should Chelsea exit the Champions League, Ancelotti said: "I think that a lot of times I have played this kind of game in my career with this pressure. But it's not pressure. It's excitement. To be involved in this game is fantastic for my job, for my career. So I'm not afraid. I'm not worried about this. I'm happy to have a possibility to be involved in this game, to use my ability and my skill to give to the players the skills to play at their best. As for my future, that is already decided. I don't have a problem about this game."
That was a reference to the remaining time on his deal at the club, with a defiant Ancelotti adding that he had not felt compelled to seek assurances from the owner, Roman Abramovich – who attended the first-leg defeat by United and Saturday's narrow victory over Wigan – over his future. "It's not important that I have to speak with Roman," he said. "When I have a contract, everything is OK with him."
Little has gone right for Torres, whose personal goal drought stands at 648 minutes for Chelsea, though the Spaniard is expected to start tomorrow having played only a little over half an hour against Wigan on Saturday.
Drogba, who played all of that win, appears most likely to give way, with the management considering reverting to a trident attack with Torres flanked by Florent Malouda and Nicolas Anelka. Chelsea won 2-1 at Old Trafford last term – they are the last visiting team to prevail there, albeit a little over a year ago – and a repeat result would see them through.
Ancelotti confirmed that Torres would play some part and insisted there was no pressure on the British record transfer to break his duck in such a key contest. "He's searching for a goal, but our aim is that he plays for the squad, moves well for the team, and works for his team-mates," said the manager. "I never ask my strikers [just] to score goals. If he scores it's good for him and for Chelsea, but I'm just interested in the performance of Chelsea. We will try to do something special.
"We know we have to win. But we also know that we have 90 minutes in which to do that. We don't have to put strong pressure [on United] from the beginning. We need to have time to play our football and to score. We have to play with balance because United, on the counterattack, after very dangerous. [Wayne] Rooney is their most dangerous player, and we have to do better against him that we did in the last game. But we won't change our shape, our mentality, our philosophy just to control Rooney. We want to play our football at the best level we can.
"Chelsea, in the past, were disappointed to lose results in this competition, and the final on penalties [in 2008 to United], but that memory could be a good motivation for everyone. This may be a chance to replace those memories with better ones. Every one of us, Roman included, hopes that everything will be OK in this game."

Tottenham winger Gareth Bale has not given up hope of making the last four of the Champions League despite his side trailing Real Madrid 4-0.
Spurs' aspirations of extending their debut run were severely dented by last Tuesday's quarter-final first leg defeat at the Bernabeu, but Bale has called for optimism ahead of the White Hart Lane encounter on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old said in Marca: "Anything is possible in football. This sport's history is full of incredible, crazy games.

"Madrid lost 4-0 at Anfield not so long ago. Why can't we do it ourselves?
"We are going to try and we're not going to give up. It's an almost impossible challenge, but we're going to play and see what happens.
"Hopefully we can produce the miracle. We need to be optimistic. We're going to go out to win from the start."
Two goals from Emmanuel Adebayor, as well as strikes from Angel di Maria and Cristiano Ronaldo put Madrid in control of the tie, with Spurs' cause not helped in the Spanish capital by the 15th-minute dismissal of Peter Crouch.
"When you play with one player less it makes it almost impossible, especially in the Champions League and against a team like Real Madrid," Bale said.
"I think this was the big difference in the first leg. We hope that the reverse happens tomorrow and they lose a man and we can take advantage. That would be a good opportunity."
Bale has played a starring role for Spurs in Europe this year, most notably his two stunning displays against Inter Milan in the group stage.
He signed a new four-and-a-half-year contract with Spurs last month, but admitted before last week's first leg he could be tempted to move to one of Europe's biggest clubs in the future.
Asked if he could see himself playing at the Bernabeu again one day wearing Real Madrid colours, he replied: "I don't know if I will play in Madrid. Now I'm happy at Tottenham. It's a young team, me as well, and I'm happy here."
And, despite the huge strides he has taken over the past year, Bale insists there is plenty still to come.
"I've progressed a lot, especially in this last year playing in

With two key meetings against their fiercest rivals already on the horizon, Real Madrid's players could be forgiven if they are not entirely focused against Tottenham on Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
But after winning last week's first leg 4-0, it's unlikely to matter too much.

Even if Madrid coach Jose Mourinho rests key players in preparation for Saturday's Spanish league match against Barcelona - and the Copa del Rey final four days later against the same opponent - Tottenham looks to be fighting for pride instead of a realistic chance of progress.
But Mourinho's assistant, Aitor Karanka, said Tottenham's performance in Saturday's 3-2 Premier League win over Stoke showed Madrid had to be on guard.
''Tottenham scored three goals in half an hour, so it's going to be complicated,'' Karanka said.
But Spurs' weakness in the Champions League has not been scoring goals; it has been keeping them out at the other end. Madrid was the second side after Inter Milan to score four goals in a game against Tottenham, while unheralded Swiss side Young Boys managed three in the first 28 minutes of the teams' qualifying playoff.
Ominously for Tottenham, Madrid winger Cristiano Ronaldo appears to have overcome recent injuries and scored in Saturday's 3-0 Spanish league win at Athletic Bilbao to take his season tally to 39 goals.
France striker Karim Benzema has returned to training and could be available after missing three games to a leg injury, while Brazil playmaker Kaka said he is beginning to return to form after scoring two penalties against Bilbao.
''I feel I owe a debt to Madrid,'' Kaka said. ''It leaves me feeling a little upset that I haven't had the chance to meet those expectations that followed me here.''
Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero should play since he is suspended for Saturday's game at the Santiago Bernabeu, which will be the first of four in 18 days against Barcelona if both Spanish sides advance in the Champions League.

The home of the best LIVE soccer and rugby awaits at FoxSoccer.tv -- don't miss a second of the action.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is trying to lift morale while juggling the demands of mounting an unlikely comeback and challenging for fourth place in the Premier League.
''It was just a one-off night in Madrid,'' Redknapp said. ''It was a game you have to forget about.''
An early red card to striker Peter Crouch in Spain was a mitigating factor but it could be tough for players to forget a match in which they were so comprehensively outclassed.
''You can't take on Real Madrid, one of the great teams of world football, with 10 men,'' Redknapp said. ''Eventually they will open you up and that's what happened.''
Even if Tottenham can keep all 11 players on the field this time around, its spectacularly eventful debut season in the Champions League looks almost over.
Midfielder Tom Huddlestone made his comeback from a five-month absence with an ankle injury against Stoke and could play, while Crouch's suspension means Roman Pavlyuchenko could lead the home attack at White Hart Lane.

I suspect a 5 man back line, and a bunch of scrubs from Jose, and if there is any danger of not advancing, some gala substitutions. Of course Madrid is distracted. There is the big picture to look at.

Simba kujifariji Kagame

Ngasa," alisema.

Akizungumzia kuhusu wachezaji wanaotajwa kupunguza kwenye kikosi chake akiwemo Kelvin Yondani, Musa Hassan 'Mgosi', Meshack Abeil, Emanuel Okwi, Mohamed Banka na Juma Nyoso alisema Simba ina wachezaji wengi.
