The catchy Afro-beat tune and video was released on February 12, while the "SupaMega", as AKA is also known, was in Canada to perform at the Africa In The 6 event.
AKA, whose real name is Kiernan Forbes, 28, has also been nominated for the 2016 Metro FM Music Awards, which take place in Durban this weekend, for best hit single, best remix and best collaboration for his smash hit, Baddest, featuring Khuli Chana and Yanga.
Top hit-maker Diamond Platnumz, whose real name is Naseeb Abdul Juma, is no newbie to success either, having won 2015 MTV Europe awards in the international artist and best international act (Africa) categories.

On Twitter @wambui_merly said: "Just repeat that [HASHTAG]#MakeMeSing[/HASHTAG] jam by Diamond and AKA (BAe), am already addicted to it."
Meanwhile, the song has taken a quirky twist in the [HASHTAG]#MakeMeSingDanceChallenge[/HASHTAG] currently taking place on social media.
Fans have been seen uploading 15-second videos in which they show off their dance moves to the song with the hashtag attached.
Raphael Benza, managing director and co-founder of AKA's management label, Vth Season, said: "The Diamond Platnumz and AKA combo are a force to be reckoned with for 2016."
