Lease agreement with my landlord

I have entered into a year lease agreement with my landlord named Charles at a monthly rent of 40,000/= and I took possession of the premises with my landlord consent.

But after a lapse of 4 months of my contract, My landlord signed another lease agreement of five years with another tenant named Asumpta and he received her rent.

After I asked him about that, he claimed that there is no valid lease between me and him that's why he signed a lease agreement with another tenant.

Am in dilemma now as I don't know what to do....I need a legal advice plz

You can sue him for the breach of contract since the time speculated in the contract has not lapse
...therefore he is barred to contract with other party concerning the premise which he lent you until the contract has come to an end or been discharged by one way or another!
