Salaam,

Mtaniwia radhi Kiswali changu si kizuri nimefunzwa kiswahili darasani sikiongei kila siku.

Asante

I read English is the only language for "the Palace" section of the forum. Not that you said it. I don't want to break rules :smile-big:. Thanks again, let me wait for help from others. If I don't get any I will wait and post in another section. Thanks

Respond to these few questions, so that anyone trying to help knows what to stick to:-

1. How many days are you planning to stay? Normal hotels in Dar ranges from Tshs 35,000 to 60,000, these are the hotels that you find 7 to 12 km from the City Centre with moderate security;

2. Daladala fares are not expensive, it is almost Tshs 500 per route, though in some cases you need to take taxi (cab) especially during the night, or if you are visiting an area where there is no daladala route, these ranges from Tshs 10,000 to 30,000 depending on the distance;

3. Food prices range from Tshs 3,000 - 6,000 for the local areas but standard as you have mentioned;

4. You also need to be specific on some areas/places you want to visit so that it will be easy to advise, though some will come up during the visit; and

5. I dont think if you will need an escort, but Tanzanian people are so kind in directing someone to a place he/she does not know, you can even get an advise from the hotel attendant on whether to use taxi or daladala for a place you are visiting.

I am planning to stay for a maximum of two weeks approximately 12 days. Thanks for the estimates on the cost of transport. I will use these for my budgeting.

Thanks again, I plan to tour on a lean budget but I'll be open to try something expensive once in a while. Thanks for these estimates on meals as well.

This is where I will need help, I have heard a lot about Tanzanians and would love to meet them and know a few in person. That probably is my main goal but would also want to visit some really good areas in Dar where there is a bit of history and know more about the town. I am also a fan of night life and will definitely want to do a bit of clubbing. I will try googling and see where I should focus. Any ideas here? I would appreciate.

Good to know. This is exactly what I expect though I will also prepare for a few surprises. I believe I don't have to save huge amounts of money for this brief tour. People tend to think touring a neighboring country or even your own country is expensive but I differ. Thanks again. I am looking forward to more insights on this.

Ukifika tu Dar wewe fika kituo chochote cha polisi watakupa maelekezo unayoyahitaji...
