Am happy that "three members are allowed to implement a policy and others can join later". President Kikwete has said himself that Tanzania is waiting to see how CoW will pull through before making a decision. So lets rest it there and proceed with developing our nations.

That has been Tanzanian rhetoric stand, but Tanzanians on the ground have been very bitter. Social forums are filled with so many virulent Geza Uloles, yet the agreement is simple, just let us move with this CoW and if it makes sense to Tanzania and Burundi, we will be glad to welcome them.
As for work permit, you heard president himself offering to seat down and discuss after he was challenged that its free in Kenya while exorbitant in Bongo.
I agree with him some jobs should not be open to foreigners, but then again it's Tanzanian employers who prefers Kenyan employees in their companies or institutions and opening these restricted jobs to Kenyans.

if you know how to read then visit here! the difference between working permit fees between Tanzania and Kenya is less than $10! Bastards from your country keep distorting the truth for reasons they know themselves

What truth is distorted, the fee has been waived for any EAC citizen above 35 years old. Obviously, anybody less than that age is deemed inexperienced and still learning and can't add much value apart from adding up into surging number of unemployed and inexperienced millions of youths in the country.

Anybody crossing over to work in a foreign country, must ensure the income is meaningful and his/her skills are scarce in the host country. I can't imagine hassling to come into Tz and involve myself on anything that earns me less than $2,500 a month.

Wakenya wengine wanaotaka free movement of labour hata ukiomba wakuonyeshe statement za benki wengine hata akaunti hawana.

Sheria hizo kweli zina umuhimu, ila kwetu hapa hazifuatiliwi. Wabongo wapo hapa kwetu wengi walalahoi, haswa omba omba mijini Kenya-Tanzania: Trafficking handicapped children and the economy of misery | East & Horn Africa na wajasiriamali wa biashara ndogo ndogo. Waganga kote nchini asilimia kubwa Wabongo, ila serikali yetu huwa haifuatilii sana kuwafukuza wananchi tokea EAC.

kuna dada zenu na mama zenu wanauza uchi huku TZ! sasa sijui ni matajiri?

English speaking twilight girls cause
New-Year mayhem

Kenyan prostitutes invade local market
by Staff Reporter
Arusha town ushered into the New Year 2008 with local sex workers locked in a scuffle with their visiting Kenyan counterparts, each side fighting for potential foreign customers.
A brawl which erupted in the night of December 31 of 2007 and lasted several hours into the early hours of January 1 occurred in Kaloleni area, where the sex trade has been rampant especially during holidays.
Kaloleni and Levolosi the two central wards of the municipality have some of the infamous red zones where twilight girls roam freely targeting visitors especially tourists.
Eyewitnesses told the Arusha Times that the local commercial sex workers felt the pinch after what was described as ‘loosing out' against alien twilight ladies from Kenya who managed to lure foreign ‘customers' due to their ability to speak English.
The local players, apparently, were hindered by the communication barrier.
"The fight erupted when the aggressive Kenyan prostitutes proved more attractive to foreign tourists because they can speak fluent English unlike locals," an eyewitness maintained.
As it happened, local prostitutes resolved to forge a united front in a bid to kick-out their Kenyan counterparts and retain their territory.
What followed was the ‘new-year battle which broke out near Mrina Annex Bar and which spread as fast as bushfire in the entire Kaloleni hot spots.
Speaking to reporters one of the local girls who preferred anonymity said Kenyan prostitutes had no rights to invade their area because they also normally get ousted out once they try to venture across the border.
"We want them to go back to their country, if they are fleeing violence then let them behave when they are here. They have no right to interfere with our business they are simply refugees," she insisted.
Seif Jafari a resident of Kaloleni and stern religious person lamented what he called "general moral decadence", complaining that prostitution, which used to be frowned upon by the local communities, was now being tolerated.
Investigations conducted around the red ‘hot spots' revealed that on average, a girl can make up Tsh. 40, 000 in one night at the peak of the tourism season.
Kaloleni, a Swahili settlement in existence since the 1950s, is one of the oldest smart areas in Arusha town in those days. Arusha is clearly experiencing a tourist boom, primarily due to its spectacular wildlife in northern circuit that comprise, Manyara, Arusha, Tarangire, Serengeti National parks and Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

There is no other way of doing this, you must be thinking that this dude is overly biased but we must start from somewhere, lets try to be objective kwenye posts...matusi yasiyo na msingi hayatatufikisha popote zaidi ya kuharibu hii sub-forum.
Cheers.

Bantus! What.s wrong with Bantus? You would think they are against some foreigners from far away lands, no, they tolerate the Chinese, Indians, Wazungus......only their kin and kith. Laana kum!
Who is a Tanzanian and who is a Kenyan, eh? These two entities that have been cobbled up in my lifetime? What those who were living in 1957 were relating to each other? Stop being stupid.
