‘Kikwete’s remarks on FDLR shocking’

Wana ajenda gani? Pathetic

I am disapponted with Kagame and his handlers! I have been reading on the web how rabid they have gotten with the remarks! They are calling him genocide denier, revisionist, bla bla... when he simply said war alone cant finish this. Rwanda has been fighting FDLR for the last 19 years and no solution. It was an honest suggestion to suggest dialogue in any form. It could be diologue with good aples in FDLR, or dialogue to bring them and rehabilitate etc. Rwanda is antagonising TZ? Why? LRA is a terrorist org, it killed, maimed and did unspeakable crimes, yet M7 talked with them in Garamba. He did not demonise those that hinted at diaologue! Rwanda calm down! How many enemies can you manage?

President Kikwete should retract his statement unconditionally, otherwise he will declare himself enemy of Rwanda. Undoubtedly, Kikwete is not ignorant of who FDLR is. We should not end at letting it be known that this is a shocking utterance, on the part of a neighboring President; he needs to be told hard by Rwandans that such careless stance is isensitive, ridiculous and totally unacceptable.
Needless to narrate his own credibility among the Tanzanian, including those in diaspora – anyway he is said to have been elected and winding-up his mandate. On the other side, he is a disgrace in the face of Africa, a head of state whose precedents are well known icons : Julius Nyerere and Benjamin Mkapa.
Hard part of diplomacy must be played to establish the true colours of President Kikwete.

It would have been a surprise if Kikwete would have not said that! All along Tanzania under Kikwete's leadership has been camouflaging when dealing with the genocidal forces. Now he (Kikwete) has decided to be open so that Rwandans should be aware of who he his.
Each one should know Kikwete can not be FDLR's spokesperson without understanding what they stand for. In other words Kikwete subscribe to the FDLR's ideology, no doubt about that, and he supports them. Mungu ibariki Rwanda, Mungu ibarki Africa!

Very disappointing remarks by H.E J Kikwete at the 50 anniversary of the African Union. this tells that the genocide ideology is still rampant calling for more and efficient efforts to neutralise this dangerous ideology.

This behavior is unacceptable and unheard of. Let's not dwell much on the words he uttered, but on intent, timing and the place from where he suggested such a shocking idea. Not only is he an FDLR's mouth piece, he could even be their patron. This is incomprehensible! I have no doubt that Rwandans took this seriously.

I can't say it was a slip of the tongue given the way his administration has been handling cases involving FDLR. The most recent is the case of Genera Bigaruka who has been acting as FDLR liaison officer based in TZA! It came to everyone's knowledge after Rwanda's intelligence put pressure on Kikwete's administration.
Given his record on the way he handled matters of Rwandan refugees in country, where some were beaten, their houses burnt and their cattle taken, president Kikwete can't give any lessons on how Rwandans should handle their matters. I urge our government to be on alert because to my view, this so-called "Neutral Intervention Brigade" whom to my view their neutrality can be questioned, may end up creating a vacuum for FDLR to exercise and get organized to attack our beautiful country which is attracting envy from near and far as it shames some leaders and scholars who otherwise believed Africans can't achieve without guidance and blessing from our western masters!

The Kinyarwanda Proverb translated "the stone that has been sighted can no longer blunt a hoe" is valid here, we now know who Kikwete is. I believe our African hero Mwalimu Nyerere is now tirning in his grave because of President's Kikwete's remarks which are shocking not only to Rwandans, but to all East Africans!!

President Kikwete has spoken, tomorrow Joice Banda, Micheal Sata, Armando Guebuza and Mugabe will add a voice to his. This shouldn't surprise any body, such presidents have been there and will continue to exist. He has clearly shown that he can even provide a safe haven for the blood suckers FDLR. Let them say, one day they will kneel before us. God bless Rwanda

Kikwete being a president of TZ a country hosting ICTR should not be the one utter these words BUT i believe some things: Some one prepared the speech for him and read without proofreading; The president has a slit of tangue when trying to elaborate on the rebels in DRC. In all cases, the President can easily withdraw the statement. JK please get back to senses and withdraw the statement before UN turns against you.Hope

Kikwete should think before talking out loud! We all know who the FDLR are and what they did in Rwanda in 1994. Their agenda was and still is to kill and eliminate the Tutsis not only in Rwanda but all over the world.
Genociders, terrorists etc are not people/groups to sit on the table with governments for negotiations. Even the great Americans themselves acknowledge the fact that such groups are not to be negotiated with.
Rwanda has made tremendous steps in uniting and developing herself! The FDLR and the people who support them, have a hidden agenda that can be traced to the atrocities carried out in Rwanda back in 1994. We will not allow any negotiations of any sort. We can only ask them to lay down their arms and come back to help in rebuilding this country.

This is very shocking to all peace-lovers in the region. Imagine this is a head of an EAC member state who know well the history of FDRL. What else could he be, if not a sympathiser of the rampaging genocidaires and a denyer of Genocide.
Rwanda has opened it doors to all Rwandan to come home peacefully, including those who had been taken hostage by FDRL hard-liners, and they are serving thier country, thousands of testimonies are here.
Not only did Kikwete contribute troops to indirectly support those perpetrators of mass murders, he has offered to be thier speaker at such a respectable forum.
Brothers and sisters from TZ this is dangerous diplomacy driven by selfish "unknown" interests which is simply un acceptable.

This is a terrible gesture, of secret hetrade. We want to remind President Kikwete that we know our history, let him leave us alone. We know how to manage our post Genocide challenges. If he has chosen to support those who want to accomplish their unfinished mission of genocide against the Tutsi, he should be rest-assured that he will never succeed because we shall never die again.

Kikwete was right there.sema tu kwamba hao jirani zetu si watu wakuelewa na ni wabaguzi.kilichopo hapo ni hao fdlr kurudi rwanda by force na itakua another genocide. Kitu ambacho Rwanda govt hawataki kusikia.

A new low.....i think our dear leader uwa hapimi mawazo yake kabla hajayatoa anayapimia kupitia reaction ya watu

are you a real GT?!, discussing people(Kikwete)instead of issues?!, how long do think Kagame's regime will reign without seeking reconciliation with other rwandees?!. see wht kenya is up on now? seeking to sit down to reconsile on post election violence- cant you ask your uncle kagame et al to take a lesson fro kenya?!.

hao jamaa ni kuwaachia hizo vagi zao, we have enough

Kikwete is 100% right and his remarks carry more weight than Kagame and co-stalwarts can bear. There is more than enough evidence that Kagame's regime has failed to solve the FDLR issue, and the main reason is that he's part of the problem: a tribalist. Who knows if RPF hadn't won the war, the term "genocidaire' would be used to officially describe the RPF today? Both the RPF and the former FAR (Armed Forces of Rwanda) committed war crimes but since RPF won the war, the victor has taken all the glory and pride while all the guilt and crimes are being painted on the vanquished.

I support Kikwete in stressing that a lasting solution to the Rwandan crisis will be achieved through dialogue and reconciliation, and not through military intervention because a military victory in this case will offer only a temporary solution.

A new low.....i think our dear leader uwa hapimi mawazo yake kabla hajayatoa anayapimia kupitia reaction ya watu

Hapa kuna utata.

Dialogue and reconcilliation my azz,FDLR must face the justice in Kigali or kichapo 100%.

Wanyarwanda wasijidanganye, bila kukubaliana nchi yao itavurugika baadae.

When it comes to giving comments about other countries as president you should always be careful yeye siyo msemaji wa nchi nyingine!

And what is wrong with asking warring parties to talk? You are thinking revenge it seems; not peace!

The Rwandese Comments attached to the original post tell me the following: that Kigali does NOT have an option for talking. That means their option of choice is revenge by killing. Maybe the FDLR understands this mentality and that is why they can not return to Rwanda. You sound like a blood thirsty lot.

The post says President Kikwete suggested that Kigali should negotiate with the Congo-based rebels.

I may differ with President Kikwete on a number of domestic issues. I agree with him on this one 100%. If the talking option is not available in the Kigali regime where the FDLR is concerned, then you must be a blood thirsty government, and the FDLR withdrawal into the forest is correct.

Kikwete is right! Talk. Stop dreaming revenge.

Its disappointing to hear Kikwette make such a comment. He should distance politics of businesses managed by his son that belongs to Kabila so as to have an independent mind of thought.
Genociders, how to have peacetalks with blood tainted terrorists who are genocide masterminders? What an African President to utter such a remark in a forum of the kind.
Sympathisers are there for the genociders but they should know their sympathy shall never and will never change the HISTORY BY THE FACT THAT THESE FDRL committed "genocide".
Cross examine this Mr. Kikwette otherwise you are taking a wrong trend of your politics that may have an effect on TZ politics today and tomorrow.

It is a big shame on Mr J Kikwete by suggesting such a non sense motion. May be Kikwete has no clue about the magnitude of the atrocities committed by Interahamwe. Being from Congo myself, I would like to inform the non-biased opinion that much of devastation in Congo, including mass killing, rape and enslaving local population are still being committed by Interahamwe.
The UN does very little to stop it. Asking Rwanda to negotiate with the Interahamwe is the same as asking Israel to negotiate with Hezbollah. Rwanda should reserve the right to strike these criminals wherever they are located including TANZANIA

Kwenye hili rais wangu yuko right na Rwanda will never see real peace hadi pale watakapokaa meza moja FDLR.
