In Tanzania, IMA has long working relationship with the Ministry of Health Community Development

Gender, Elderly and Children (MOHCDGEC) to control and eliminate neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) through morbidity management and mass drug administration campaigns in the endemic regions of Mainland Tanzania. IMA and the MOHCDGEC are jointly implementing ‘SAFE’ program to eliminate blinding trachoma in Pwani, Simiyu, Kagera and Rukwa Region through trachomatous trichiasis (TT) surgery under funding support from the Conrad N. Hilton funds (CNHF).

POSITION:
IT Consultant
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Carry out preventive maintenance on the Backup system (Inverter).
2. Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems.
3. Collaborating with the HQ IT team to ensure familiarity with technology.
4. Offer technical support to staff and troubleshoot computer problems.
5. Install and update company software and hardware as needed.
6. Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items.
7. Training staff to use the new IT system.
8. Monitoring the success of IT solutions.
9. Carrying out any other duties as assigned by your superiors.

Qualification and Experience:
  • Degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
  • Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, MCSE)
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software, and programming
  • Should have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Experience in NGO setting will be an added advantage.
