You saw what Egyptians did to their leaders, where did the western countries play part?

The really sick people are those who spew hatred to the western world for the sake of just hating (you, most respected Sir, are one of them) This haters are always working tirelessly to get visas to go to America and Europe. Why don't they struggle to go to Iran, S. Arabia, Iraq or any of the countries that you admire? Even Osama's wife wants to live in the UK why? I will tell you why. It's because they envy the lives of people in those countries. Majority of Dictators and mostly Arab leaders educate their children in the US and Europe. When people are able to zamia in the US ,UK, Germany e.t.c even if illegally, they feel sparks, they feel their lives will amount to something. America, UK and all those admirable countries are the way they are because their leaders fight for the betterment of all people, including their enemies. The Americans or French are prepared to have their people killed and their embassies all over the world burnt down but they will make sure that the movie maker and the cartoonist face the law and get the justice they deserve. They may even be found not guilty.Another country would have given them immediately to be beheaded. Somalis hate America and UK more than they hate satan, but they struggle to make it to America and UK more than they struggle to make it to heaven.

Get real and stop living in the imaginary world called utopia. Hate if you must, but use reason and fairness in your hatred.

Though I did not support <#Kadaffi, I agree partly with what somoche has stated. My only advice to you is that do not always believe everything the westerners have found expedient to dispell of what is actually happening in Africa and the Arab world especially in Syria and Libya. That is why America feels that the Arab world is always like an itching bug on their neck. Most concerns that look genuine to you about the pursuit for justice and democracy are subtle and feigned sympathies created to act as a launchpad for intervening and meddling in the internal power structures of third world countries where few examples like Haiti, Elsavador, Cuba, Panama just to name a few fell prey to and have never recovered ever since...We are always lucky as a continent Africa we were spared of what they underwent because we had always been viewed as a dark continent, always beggars, non-starters, unintelligent creatures, and peoples always dependant on monetary aid programs to survive economically.

Conformance to their International law, if they want to, is sometimes pursued by violent means through their moral agents that act as vehicles of power/political argitators within internal power structures as showcased few years ago in Kenya. LYBIA and SYRIA have undergone some extremes of it. We have Somalia just on our doorstep here if you are keen enough. Famine hit the country for a long time no one came to their rescue. International aid agencies snubbed the somalia people until they became malnourished and started seeking a sanctuary in Kenya. There are many African countries currently engaged in Somalia, most of whom that are featuring prominently under AMISOM are there for purely economic gain. For Kenya's role, it is simply a matter of seeking a lasting solution for peace in Somalia. Therefore Kenya's role in somalia should not be derided by simple jockers.

Take China of 1949, its economic growth was a threat to their interests and the only way they could preempt the threat was to support India that had a huge percentage of its population under shocking poverty to counterweight China. India is now ambivalantly riding within the league of emerging industrialized and economic powerhouses while its streets, slums and surburbs are a buzz with criminal activities. America has subjugated China deliberately under the BRICS, while it is indeed a fact China is surpasing America economically. Rumours that India have built a nuclear submarine months after a simmilar announcement is something we cannot verify. India still grapples with extreme poverty despite gaining immensely from such ambivalance dynamics that a few countries within East Africa have shown they can fall for such traps. MY BIGGEST QUESTION NOW REMAINS TO YOU, IS THIS THE PATH OR MODEL OF DEVELOPMENT THAT WE AS AFRICAN NATIONS SHOULD DECIDE TO TAKE? Libya and most recently Syria is taking the heat becauze their regimes had not opened up to open control. That is why '!Kaddafii* and more recently $Ass@d had to be done away with.

I have come to deduce that the degree of wealth of a people and a country is directly proportional to the democratic levels and values of that nation. It follows that if most poor countries would be more democratic in the running of their governments there would be less or no corruption, there would be more accountability and wealth would only be a matter of time.

It is almost impossible to topple a popular leader no matter who supports the opposition. The USSR collapsed because it was not popular among its people. If Qaddafi was popular it would not have been possible to remove him. Same applies to Assad. Democracy follows that the most popular leader leads a nation and is normally the best placed to take a country forward.

Kenya may not succeed as expected in Somali. As soon as they help to take Kismayu port and hand it over to the Somali government they will be told to clear from Somali together with all amissom troops. The same al shabab being fought will be seen to occupy positions of leadership in Somali. I have seen a most awkward thing that amisson and Kenya troops are doing. They are allowing the surrendering al shabab forces to join the Somalia army. What this means is that Kismayu will actually be taken without a fight as all the alshabab will have joined the Somali forces. After the amissom leaves Somali, the army will take over the government again and alshabab will be in power. In fact, my view is that the new Somali president is pro al shabab if not al shabab itself. Lets not forget there are countries like Iran who are out to ensure that the west, including Kenya will not succeed anywhere against Islamic militants. Iran is already sending weapons and personnel to support Syria's Assad and they will do the same for Al shabab to take over the country again. The best way forward is leave Somali to the Somali people themselves. You can not force peace down the throat of violent people who do not want it. Let Kenya man its own borders but not to waste its people thinking that it can bring peace to Somali. Unless they decide to stay in Somali until the mindsets of the Somalis changes. Which may be a long long time.
