FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TWO MONTHS.
ISRAEL STRUCK BACK INSIDE IRAN WITHIN HOURS.
AND AN IRANIAN OFFICIAL JUST SAID THE PEACE DEAL IS "NO LONGER FEASIBLE."
---
Here is exactly what happened today:
Israel struck a Hezbollah command center in the Dahieh area of Beirut this morning in response to Hezbollah rocket attacks on northern Israeli communities.
Iran responded immediately.
Multiple waves of ballistic missiles launched directly at Israel.
Air raid sirens across northern Israel.
Israelis taking cover in public shelters in Haifa and other cities. Multiple explosions heard in northern Israel.
Israel's military said it was intercepting the missiles but warned: "The defense is not hermetic."
The IDF confirmed all missiles were intercepted. No casualties reported in Israel.
Iran's IRGC called it a "warning."
---
Israel retaliated within hours.
The IDF confirmed Israeli Air Force strikes on targets in western and central Iran.
Saudi Arabia activated missile alert sirens near Prince Sultan Air Base, home to US forces before the Saudi Civil Defense said the danger had passed.
---
Trump's response:
"It's certainly not going to help negotiations."
"I'm about to call Bibi right now and tell him not to respond. Both of them have already done their part. We don't need another one."
"If Bibi attacks them back, it'll just drag on like it has for the past 47 years, or the past 3,000 years."
Trump was literally watching Iranian missiles fly toward Israel out of a window during a Fox News interview.
---
The deal:
An Iranian official told NBC News today: a deal with Trump is "no longer feasible at this stage."
A White House source said the escalation is "exposing President Trump's miscalculations about the war."
The deal that was "largely negotiated" two weeks ago is now dead according to Iran's own officials.
Day 97.
Iran struck Israel. Israel struck Iran. The war just reached its most dangerous moment since it began.
Take care everyone.
