Is Magufuli, not Mugabe, the most educated African President?

Is Magufuli, not Mugabe, the most educated African President?

Correction, it wasnt really the Boers that raided the archipellago, it was a group of exiled seychellois, that was opposed to the repressive, Tanzania-backed socialist regime that was in place there.

Kenya was pro-capitalism, it therefore was in favor of that group, even though it was trained in SA.
Remember, Kenya did welcome Idi Amin's ascend to power in Uganda for similar reasons. It preferred to have neighbors that shared similar political ideology as its own.

Kenya's support for the invaders was there4 purely for ideological reasons, it wasnt in support for the apartheid regime.

Last time i checked Kenyan is has never been driven by ideologies.
Its only Money and Profit that the Kenyans are after.
Values and ideologies are more of a misnomer within Kenyan politics.
Kenyans are after Bullions.

Khe khe khe khe khe khe k heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee you make me laugh. Once a Nyang'au you will always be a Nyang'au. When did you change? Khe khe khe khek khe kheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Wacha kulialia kama kasuku.

Let me also correct u where u stated that ''Tanzania singly struggled against the aparthed regime''. C'mon, I know u know deep inside yourself that that is utter drivel!
It took the conserted effort of several countries around the world, including the US and Britain which u so distrust to get the apartheid regime out of power.

Nyerere's efforts were noble, granted. But they werent sufficient to route out such a powerful govt of power. Not intending to disparage his efforts- but his impoverished country's military was relying on second rate military hardware from China. Compare that with the sophisticated arsenal SA had, including nuclear warheads, all self produced!

It has always been said that President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe is among the most educated Presidents in the world. In Tanzania, the newly elected President, Dr. Pombe Magufuli may soon claim the spot as the most Educated President in Africa if not the world.

He?s a holder of a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Dar-es-Salaam, having earned his Bachelor?s Degree from the same University. He has at least seven scientific publications to his name.

Magufuli was born on October 29th 1959. He joined the ruling political party of CCM in 1977 slowly growing through the ranks to become a Member of Parliament in 1995 till 2010. In 1995, he served as the Deputy Minister for works and MP for Biharamulo East Constituency. Before his election as the CCM flag bearer, he?d been the Minister for Works and MP for Chato constituency.

Many know him as a man aggressive for results, honest and full of integrity. He becomes the fifth President of Tanzania replacing Jakaya Kikwete who has been President for 10 years. Magufuli defeated Edward Lowassa, a former Prime Minister who crossed from CCM to the opposition party of CHADEMA.

The problem was not Mwai Kibaki, Kenya was one of the biggest African countries with corrupt government since its independence. Also remember that president Jomo Kenyatta and his Odinga's father had this the same bond between Thomas Sankara and Blaise Compaore. Not to mention Kenya is suffering from tribalism and far from progression. There is no nation in East Africa that is greater in theft than Kenya.

Yes, but it is fifty-fifty that Pombe Magufuli will be able to show the right way to leadership.

Clearly, u havent seen the TI's latest corruption index, that places Tz ahead of Kenya.

Stop the baseless, mindless stereotype. And face the reality that nearly whole nations of Africa are dogged by this affliction.

And I didnt in anyway suggest that Mr. Kibaki was the originator of the problems I mentioned above in Kenya, but rather he was expected to be the solution to those problems.
The Panacea to the problems.

Magufuli is sent from heaven God fearing president 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Money<-> profits.....isnt that the bedrock of capitalism?
What then do u reckon capitalism entails?

Kina JK hawatakiwi wacheleweshwe hadi 2017.
Wale ni hatari kwa ustawi wa taifa.

They are,
but capitalism is not an end to itself, its just a means to an end.
You Kenyans happen to be stuck in process and you lost the way home.
All systems be it communism or Imperialism are vehicles of human advancement, the destination is PROSPERITY OF HUMAN FAMILY.

You guys don't get that lesson.
You cling to your old ways of life, you fail to rectify the mistake.
Ujamaa failed we looked for the other way to reach human advancement.

You criticize our economic system and our way of life, using the outdated arguments of the former anti-capitalists, yet today, your system is almost indistinguishable from our own.
Upon realizing your mistake with ujamaa, that it would never deliver the economic and societal utopia it promised, u embraced the Kenya's system wholesale!

Now look, Tz is prospering thanks to that.

We are actually pursuing the third way.
We are trying to create a system that benefits from market forces while aspiring to care about the people who are left behind.
And we have the potential to do that.

As i said earlier Kenya shouldn't boast about anything,
Its just a BIG FISH IN A SMALL POND.
East Africa is a very poor region and your country wields no position of shouting to us that you have prospered. You still have a long way to go.

Majority of Kenyans lead a poor life with no hope for the future just like any other place within East Africa and yet you were capitalists for a long time.
Economists say that Tanzania at its full potential can feed hundred Kenyas for a decade without going bankrupt.

Politics without ideas is Useless, and ideas are empty if they don't reflect the social realities my friend.
Kenya isingekuwa na Rushwa na Ukabila basi mngekuwa mbali sana.
Sasa tupo almost sawa tu.

What is that index you and Sam claim, Forbes just listed you as a dangerous corruption state. Let me find that source, you can't compare Kenya corruption with Tz. You're in another developed league.

Kenya too has already promulgated its own similar programs hoped to help alleviate the levels of poverty in the country; yours isnt a novel initiative Mr. MALCOM LUMUMBA .Kenya isnt a country running on autopilot as u seem to imagine.
The numerous infrastructural projects u see in Kenya are in tandem with those goals.

It isnt just east Africa that is poor, the entire ssaharan Africa is pitiably poor, with most countries reporting poverty rates of over 60% at best or 80+ in some extreme cases.

Kenya is considered one of the better countries, with its poverty rates hovering around 40%. 18m Kenyans out of the total population of about 44mn is living in extreme poverty. That can hardly be said to be the majority.
The size of the middle class however is one of the highest in Africa, estimated at around 46% in the 2010 Afdb report.
Indeed, Kenya would have been quite far were it not for the blunders made during Moi's era.
But Kenya now is on the rise to solidify it's status as the region

teh teh teh I'm sorry, but the founding president watered the tree of corruption in Kenya.

Corruption is everywhere in the world.
Acquisitive instinct exists in the whole human race, not just in Kenyans. If it was, then Kenya would have been ranking as the only corrupt country in the world, but look, it isnt even in the top ten of the indexes.

Actually I wouldn't like to discuss internal affairs to a certain country, but Jomo Kenyatta was the founding father of corruption in Kenya! Number one land grabber in Africa followed by the white colonialist.
There are African leaders that've greatly looted their countries' wealth, much larger than what mzee Kenyatta took.
You see, the entire net worth of the Kenyatta family currently is at around $500m according to Forbes, and that's an improvement to the past estimates.

There are several African leaders who are worth way more than that.....to a tune of several billions$$, all gotten from looting from the public coffers!
Look at the (current and former) leaders of such countries as the Eq. Guinea, Angola, Nigeria, Zaire, Libya, Sudan etc. The countries are hugely blessed with vast reserves of mineral resources, yet scarcely developed and the pipo impoverished, yet the leaders are multi-billionaires, in $$!

Al least Mzee Jomo left some positive legacy.

The ''nyanga'us'', just like any other civilized nation that abhorrs oppression was emphatically opposed to the repressive policies of the former racist SAn regime, having undergone similar experience b4 its independence.
It's inaccurate and very uncivil of you to state that they supported it.

The relation btwn Kenya and the apartheid regime didnt go beyond trade, that fact is well documented- so did such countries as India, Japan, US, Britain etc.
Kenya was in a precarious position then, given that all it's potential trading partners within Africa were either embroiled in a civil war or had adopted the eastern political ideologies that were incompatible with the one it stood for, and which it knew were defective.

Snitch nation

Pombe Magufuli has an ideal way of governance and he is a great leader, but unfortunately he is a good man in the land of evil. I mean a good man in Africa that did not add up. He must be careful because he's surrounded by enemies(within and outside CCM). Africa is continent that I can say is far from been good. Because slavery is still in existence. But instead of we been chained and taken away in a ship to a foreign land, we are been enslaved in our own land by the west through some Africans among us using the greed in us which is the greatest asset of an average Africans. He must be careful again and again..

The greatest mark of a learned person is the ability to apply his learned skills to develop himself and his community. Maghufuli is just doing that right now! The difference between Mugabe and Maghufuli could be in the smartness they both need to have in handling and tackling issues affecting the lives of their people.

The history of Kenya's struggle for independence is often laden with gruesome hypocrisy, blurred concepts of contextual heroism, officialized lies, skewed misinterpretation of the actual struggle with the aim of creating heroes where there were none and attempts to project the struggle as a spirited effort to secure Kenya's desire for freedom, self rule and for land. Two Kenyans patrol this history like messaniac colossuses. These are Kiambu's Jomo Kenyatta and Nyeri's Dedan Kimathi. Kenyan children have been continuously and erroneously taught that these two were the main engines that steered Kenya to freedom and self rule.
I like your tackling against opponent comments, can you explain between these two people?
