I am trying to do a series of small investments in this market but there is very little information with regards listed companies and their performance.

What are the blue chips in TZ? Aside from mining firms, are there any listed tourism associated firms that are doing well? Any listed banks and which is the largest listed bank by asset in TZ?

CRDB is the largest and well perfoming listed bank in Tanzania if not in eac.

For more information you can visit the websiteDSE & CMSA.

Ukiamu kuwekeza unatakiwa uwe straight sio na mbwembwe namna hiyo, mara watz hawapendi wakenya, hiyo ni phobia tu!

Ila ngoja ntarudi nikusaidie hoja yako

Kenya Commercial Bank is the largest bank in EA....kuhusu TZ, dont invest in anything apart from mining, tourism and construction sectors...

CRDB is the largest bank in Tanzania by assets but NMB is more profitable than CRDB, both are in the stock exchange.
Kilam, would you know the comparative profitability and majority shareholding of the 2 banks.
I see acacia dropped today by 19%. Sakata ile ya kukwepa kodi ha

That CRDB is trading at Tsh 200. Looks enticing. Any big stockbroker there with office in Nairobi?

Namuunga mkono mleta mada. Tafadhalini serious watu pekee yake watuingize box ya kuinvest kwenye hisa za bongo.

CRDB has 2.6b at Tz 200. That's a market capitalization of Ksh 26b. Could be in tier 2 banks in kenya with the likes of DTB, I&m and CFC. Akina kcb, equity, coop, stanchart and Barclay's wako ligi kubwa.
But its definitely a steal at Tzsh 200.

Though CEO is PhD holder. They tend to be rigid. With some amount of civil service experience which could further imply he is slow to adopt change. I would not be surprised if an aggressive bank was to overtake CRDB

Thanks. What are your thoughts on the CEO? of CRDB. Just read his profile

I would go for NMB rather than CRDB, CRDB CEO is an experienced guy but I think he can't handle turmoils in banking sector.
