But Jay-Z had aimed at no one in particular. The Game just like other rappers, had been trying to take shots at Jay-Z for a minute, but Jay-Z once responded in a freestyle claiming 'They diss me, cuz that's the only way they know we gon' speak'.

* At some point, Jay-Z was about to sign Lil Wayne as one of his artists. Wayne was down with it. Jay decided to let Birdman know as a sign of respect, but Cash Money responded with legal threats. Jay decided it wasn't worth it, and dropped it, although he could've signed him if he wanted. Later on, Wayne went on taking shots at Jigga, pledging his allegience to the CM.
