Got weird errors and file corruption? Traditionally, that problem meant your computers
RAM was going bad, and so its time for a memory check. Whether thats still true anymore
is up for debate, but heres how to use the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool to scan for
problems.
Just open up the Start Screen or Start Menu and type in Memory, or you can head into
Control Panel and search for the tool. You can either restart right away, or choose to
restart the next time you start the PC. Either way, youll see something like the following screen.
