No one pays for a GitHub repo, no matter how clever the code inside it is.

Clients pay for one thing: a customer who can finally order that birthday cake at midnight.

I tested over one hundred Claude repositories and most were not worth keeping on my machine.

The survivors became an operating system for running a serious one-person agency, not a pile of tools.

Prospecting starts with finding businesses that have an audience but no real path to orders.

The pitch then needs craft: scroll-driven samples and copy that sounds written by an actual human.

Recurring revenue hides in unglamorous work like captioned clips, invoices, and calendar maintenance clients hate.

Long projects drift without persistent specifications, so project memory belongs in files, not fading chats.

Shipping anything with payments demands read-only access, real browser tests, and a pre-launch security pass.

Marketing numbers deserve skepticism too, because one tool advertised sixty-five percent savings and delivered barely eight.

Start Monday small: one market, one prospect, one sample, one real response, evidence before expansion.

Before adding any repository, ask which client problem it solves that last week simply could not.

Sell the solved problem, make sure the cake gets ordered, and let the free code stay free.
