Unfortunately I don't know but I think they are found in Kihansi!

Approach: best to first hammer out the features that need to go into the app for that will give direction. Many participants might want to learn development hence this projects idea can form a teaching path that can cover this for that need.

Its basically for learning and sharpening skills. Unfortunately many had bad teachers and hence bad experience with C++ and some were told its dangerous that Lion, so don't try.
I hope to convince few to prove that wrong!

Since it will be modular, one could create a plugin to do certain thing and would not need to touch core code.
So you can do it! Actually, apart from core functions (Play/Pause/et al and Playlist) everything else will be a plugin.
The core should be as thin as possible to easy maintanance!

I have also a suggestion: Twiga Player. Reason for name is, Twiga is our national symbol. When you talk of Kiwi, that is New Zealanders and Twiga is for Tanzanians!
