Leonardo Bonucci and Lucas Biglia are now fully-paid-for Milan players and will be able to play against KF Shkëndija.

The little telenovela regarding the bank bonds and the assumption that ‘Milan do not have the money to pay for Bonucci and Biglia’ has now been put to bed.
Club CEO Marco Fassone publicly announced yesterday that the bank bonds will be deposited by August 11th, and instead of waiting until then, the club sorted out everything today (Friday).

As reported by MilanTV’s Mauro Suma, Milannews.it and many others, the guarantees of Milan over the purchases of Bonucci (€42m) and Biglia (€20m) have been deposited through Banca IFIS. And now the 30-year-old center back and 31-year-old midfielder are cleared to play in competitive matches.

Coach Vincenzo Montella will therefore be able to count on Bonucci and Biglia to be available against KF Shkëndija in the Europa League playoff round matches on August 17th and August 24th. The duo was presented to the crowd at Stadio San Siro yesterday and got a first taste of what’s it like being a Milan player in a packed stadium; the fans shouted their names and gave them a great welcome.

Super agent Jorge Mendes is trying to convince Diego Costa to consider making a move to AC Milan in the final month of the transfer window.

The Spain international’s camp have made it clear that he is going to put in a transfer request to force his way out of Chelsea, who he feels have disrespected him by supporting Antonio Conte’s actions.

And Costa has also been insistent on only considering offers from his former club Atletico Madrid and is desperate to move back to Spain in the summer transfer window.

AC Milan have also been interested in signing him, but Costa is adamant about only joining Atletico Madrid and is refusing to entertain other options in the market.

AC Milan could prepare a player-swap deal to sign Nikola Kalinic and Milan Badelj after the 15° of August, sources have told calciomercato.com.
No secret the Serie A giants are looking for some attacking reinforcements and the Croatian striker could be right name to strengthen the
rossoneri attacking department.

Fiorentina can sell Kalinic for € 25/30 million but AC Milan are also interested in former Tottenham target Milan Baldej but his price-tag is much less than Kalinic’s given that Badelj’s contract expires in 10 months.

AC Milan could decide to add Gabriel Paletta in a potential player-plus cash swap deal. The former Italy International will also see his contract expire in 2018 but would rather prefer a move to Fiorentina than a transfer to Torino.

Paletta has already been told that he won’t be a regular starter for AC Milan next season and that he should be looking for a new club if he wants regular game time.

Luca Antonelli is also not on AC Milan’s long term plans. The Italian full-back could be one of interest of Fiorentina but his € 1.5 million-a–year wages makes him a more difficult target to sign than Paletta.

Despite efforts to force a move out of Stamford Bridge since June, Diego Costa remains a Chelsea player. The club have given Diego extended time off (i.e. kept him far away from the rest of the squad) to figure out a solution to his predicament.

A return to Atlético Madrid is his preferred option, however the Spanish club have their hands tied by a transfer ban as well as their own financial situation which has seen them unable to meet Chelsea's demands.

Vincenzo Montella insists AC Milan are "fired up" for a tough run of fixtures, beginning with Sunday's trip to Sampdoria.

Montella's new-look squad have won four of their opening five fixtures in Serie A, with the overhaul bankrolled by owner Yonghong Li's Rossoneri Sport Investment Lux group falling swiftly into space.

But the pace being set at the top-flight summit is fierce, with Napoli and Juventus preserving 100 per cent records on Saturday, while Milan's only encounter with a team in the top half ended in a 4-1 loss at Lazio.

After what Montella believes will be an "emotional" encounter with his former club Samp in Genoa, Milan host Roma and take on Inter in the first derby of the campaign after the international break.

Juventus visit San Siro before the end of October and Montella wants to see a new level of performance this weekend.

"This is the game where we can raise the bar, as all the next fixtures are all very tough – games like the Milan derby, Roma, Juventus and Napoli," he said.

"This is the first of a tricky run. The team is fired up and motivated, as we hoped for such a strong start to the season.

"It's an extremely complicated and difficult match, as Sampdoria are tactically strong. We must be quick and organised, with mental sharpness.
"Samp defend well, so we have to spread the play and create passing channels."

Montella also praised the influence of centre-back and captain Leonardo Bonucci – Milan's showpiece close-season signing from Juventus – upon the group.

"We expect a great deal from the more experienced players like Leonardo Bonucci and Lucas Biglia," he said.

"They set the example, both on and off the field, and can lead the younger members of the team."

Vincenzo Montella is not the only one who is guilty for AC Milan’s defeat against Sampdoria.

The rossoneri faced their second defeat in Serie A yesterday as they left the Marassi pitch with a heavy 2-0 defeat at hands of the blucerchiati
who deserved the win as they didn’t even allow AC Milan to make one single shot towards their goal.

Italian papers hit out at Montella this morning just like fans did on social media yesterday. The manager’s higher mark in the paper’s player ratings is Il Corriere dello Sports’ 4.5. Tuttosport
and La Gazzetta dello Sport ranked him with a 4 out of 10 mark.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan is a team without any idea and a ‘desert with no oasis’.
Montella, however, is not the only guilty one for AC Milan’s defeat.

The likes of Leonardo Bonucci, Franck Kessié and Suso did also not perform at their usual standards yesterday and their marks on Italian media reflect their performances.

Bonucci gets a 5/10 mark in the Gazzetta dello Sport, 4.5/10 in Il Corriere dello Sport and 4/10 in Tuttosport. According to this last paper Bonucci was ‘irritating and presumptuos yesterday.

Kessié’s mark are even worse than Bonucci as he got a 4 out of 10 in every sport newspaper out in Italy this morning, the same marks of Zapata who literally assisted his cousin Duvan for Sampdor’a's opener.
Suso is the also slammed by today’s papers with a 4.5 (Gazzetta), 5 (Corriere dello Sport) and 4 (Tuttosport).

The only AC Milan players that has not been found guilty for yesterday’s defeat at the Marassi are Ricardo Rodriguez (6/10 in the Gazzetta dello Sport and Il Corriere dello Sport and 5.5 in
Tuttosport) and Gigio Donnarumma who got 6/10 in every Italian paper.

Montella sacked as AC Milan manager,Gattuso promoted as interim manager
