Help needed for Dissertation Topic!!!

Kama una title mpe kama huna get out of the way.

Dogo Za10

I am talking from experience, nimefanya undergrads bongo na all my postgrads nimefanyia nje na ninafundisha huku huku.

Mfano mwanafunzi akija na topic : Effect of Globalisation in the Economy of Poor countries, hii topic nzuri ila kwa MSc haiwezekani, Supervisor ataishape ifanane na Masters. Acha kupiga kelele umezoea kupewa kila kitu kwenye taulo eeehhh za 10!!

well: I believe any research comes from the area of interest of a researcher and the area of interest of a researcher comes from within. Logically, we start with defining a research problem and not a research title...be very carefully.

1. You can visit this blog (bonyeza hapo chini)
financial crisis | (en) africa can
maintained by dr. Shanta devarajan, the chief economist of the african region at the world bank. Kwa muda mrefu sasa anajadili financial crisis and africa kwa kutoa mifano ya nchi mbalimbali na pia anajadili mambo mbalimbali kama financial aid, economic policy and debt, fdi, finance and private sector developement etc.

2. Also you can visit (bonyeza hapo chini)
working paper series - africa region - the world bank

(for some odd reason, the world bank does not provide easy access to the

the bottom of the "help" page and click on the link to "wdi 2006 book - full
text" or http://devdata.worldbank.org/wdi2006/contents/cover.htmworld development indicators 2006. The tables

mzee the problem of study and the topic are significantly distinctive though not to such extent

Hi all,

For those with positive feedback and good suggestions that have truly ignited the brainstorming process of my topic choice I want to say thank you for your useful contributions. As for those who have criticized my decision, the aim was and is not to find short cuts in my Masters but rather to engage African great thinkers.

I am studying in the UK and while the current financial crisis is very relevant, I feel that it has been exhausted as a topic. It is also very likely that about half the stream would be pursuing the same topic. However, I have found some of the ideas suggested quite interesting because little has been said of the effects to the developing economies especially in Africa.

The second aim was to ascertain what other interesting topics besides the credit crunch are brewing in Tanzania.

Supervisors have not been assigned yet as they are chosen on the basis of our proposals and the corresponding experience of the lecturers in such topics.

Thanks for bearing with me so far.

Duh, Naona hatujaelewana mkuu tatizo tunatumia lugha ya mkoloni kuwasiliana.
Sijasema kuna tofauti yoyote pana kati ya vitu hivyo viwili, nimetoa angalizo kwamba kwa utaratibu unaanza kujua tatizo halafu unalipa jina.

Kwa mfano:

I am out of this discussion nadhani tupo frequency tofauti sana. Good lucky

Ndugu yangu Masanilo,

I have a different opinion, a smart student would not seek for a topic of MSc in JF!! am afraid once you have the topic you will come again and ask for methodologies, then analysis thereafter discussion etc etc, liase with your supervisor!! usiwe kilaza kutaka kutafuniwa kila kitu...think hard afterall its your Masters

Masanilo,

Kwani nani kasema mtoa maada ni "a smart student" ?

Ukishaenda shule tu umeshakubali kwamba you are not that smart kwa sababu unahitaji either elimu ya shule au cheti kukuelimisha/validate.

Hata kama una point, this is beside your point.

Its a bit odd for Sandra to request from JF members for a suggestion on a dissertation topic for her M.Sc degree. It might depend where she is pursuing her degree but what amazes me is, this absract research seems to be on a "Lone Ranger" method.
Most researches--the MSc topics included, and I stand to be corrected , are part of a wider research which has to be discussed with the students supervisor.Several studenta take on topics that can at the end of the day contribute to a wider research that at times take several years.
I am thus sort of confused by this request from Sandra

as you said, it depends on where the dissertation is taking place. In Tanzania it might not be the same thing as you have explained above. In tanzania there is a high possibility that the department does not have a big project and sometimes it does not have even a singe project. You will therefore need to do your own project or your own research for this matter.

Hi Everyone,

I'm a Master of Science student majoring in Investments and Finance.

I would like to get advise from people who work in the field in order to get some ideas about my dissertation topic as I understand it is vital to choose the right topic with respect to future employability. I'm looking for a challenging up-to-date finance topic which will give me an advantage on the job market.

Many thanks,

Sandra...

Bali he/she wants to think outside the box.

Tuache hizi criticism nyingine za kuwa-rebel watu kwamba ni weak and what not! If you cant help...get out of the way. But here, its to the contrary.

Infact I applaud muungwana SteveD na Zakumi na wengine waliojaribu kumpa moyo....Na with all honesty, akina MASA AMBAO AS YOU SAID mnafundisha huko majuu, tungewategemea muwe tofauti na walimu wetu wa kibongo ambao are more interested in one`s failure than his/her success. Mtu kuuliza siyo kwamba yeye hana ideas zake! He/she just want to think outside the box. Period. Mtu kufika mpaka majuu kufanya masters. So mwalimu MASA na wengine...put your ideas on the board kama mnazo na wala si vinginevyo.

DADA SANDRA mimi siwezi kukusaidia, maana hiyo siyo field yangu..ila ungeuliza swali kwenye anga zangu..basi ningetoa mawili matatu.

Kila lakheri na ukimaliza shule, karibu nyumbani tulijenge taifa!

Masanja,
