Nikagundua kwamba ana kampuni ambayo ilipewa tenda kubwa na wizara ya elimu, at the same time ilicost a lot of taxpayers money.

I was delighted to read the article about the new system in Tanzania that would enable the public and national examination candidates to have access to national examination results through mobile phone text message (SMS). The system has been launched and is already in place.
The Managing Director of Easy Life Group, Benjamin Sitta said the use of the mobile phone in accessing results was a newly introduced programme that would be used to relay results from Standard Seven national exams to higher learning and teacher training colleges for those who would have attained grade A.
Communication forms an important aspect of human life and as such where there is no communication there are bound to be problems.
With the vast technological advances taking place, a lot has changed in the way information is passed from one person to the other.
Technological advances particularly related to the mobile phone have resulted in information being passed on in the shortest of time.
Different kinds can now be accessed from a mobile phone. Companies are now using mobile marketing as a way to advertise their products and services that they offer through SMS.
This is a more focused and effective way of marketing which is being employed in most countries.
Network providers have also made it possible to access email over mobile phones. This is convenient to the network subscribers as they dont need to be only limited to finding an internet café in order to check their emails.
They can now do so in be it in a daladala, in bed, in the kitchen or wherever there is network coverage by their provider.
Besides emails SMS on mobile phone also now being used to make important notices and announcements like SMS broadcasted to all network subscribers for stolen or lost property like vehicles.
In such cases information is disseminated easily and quickly to a large number of people. The new system of accessing national examinations results through SMS would mean people living in remote areas hundreds of kilometers away from their nearest district offices who in the past would have to travel to get their mobile phones. This would involve spending just over Sh320 per message.
It requires the client to type just MX then a centre number and candidate number, and send this to 15771 and then wait for the results.
