The outgoing RDU Commandant, Mr. AGGREY MMBOTO SHAMALA, MBS, HSC, AIG, said that discipline was the foundation of every successful officer and institution. He explained that discipline helps people to make the right decisions, respect others, and perform their duties with honesty and professionalism.
He stated that dedication to duty was very important for achieving excellence in service. He encouraged all officers and staff members to remain committed to their responsibilities and to always work hard regardless of the challenges they may face. He added that dedication builds trust and improves the quality of service delivered to the public.
Mr. Shamala further said that service to humanity should always be the guiding principle of every officer. He reminded the officers that their work was not only about enforcing the law but also about protecting lives, helping those in need, and creating a safe environment for all citizens. He urged them to treat members of the public with respect, fairness, and compassion.
