Diamond Platnumz ajaza uwanja unaoingiza watu 70,000 Sierra Leone

The event has been tagged, ‘A night of music festivities and humour’, and will take place after two successful editions in Sierra Leone and the Gambia.
The festival serves as an exchange platform for culture and music. This year's line-up includes Slimcase (Nigeria), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Sophia (the Gambia), Tay Grin (Malawi) and Jose Chameleone (Uganda). They will be joined by local artists Kindo Armani, Richie Obama, Desmond Benya, Yemata, Innocent, K Man, Famous, Arkman, KME All Stars and Star Zee as well as Ghanaians Kuami Eugene and Kidi, among others.
Well-known Nigerian comedian Basket Mouth will host the show.
The third ECOFEST is going beyond West Africa to include Uganda and Tanzania and will bring together artists from 10 African countries for the first time. The festival will also showcase Salone (Sierra Leonean) music with more than 20 local acts.

What clearly was a major break in Sierra Leone and West African Entertainment commenced just over a year ago. The greatest entertainment platform ever created in Sierra Leone started at last year’s ECOFEST hosting seven West African Nations. Superstars like Patoranking from Nigerian, Kuami Eugene from Ghana, Takana Zion from Guinea and CIC from Liberia to name but a few, were part of a star studded line up for what was a massive event and an almost perfect showdown. This year has promised even bigger and greater things and by all standards it has a momentum that’s bound to attract the whole of the African continents attention. Issues like sound system that were a national have now been fully sorted by KME’s ECOFEST SIERRA LEONE 2019 partners, CRIBS INTERNATIONAL.

ECOFEST SIERRA LEONE 2019 will be having Ten (10) Nations represented at one arena in Freetown. They include, Nigeria, Ghana, Guinea, Senegal, Gambia, Liberia, The Host Nation Sierra Leone (from the West African front), Tanzania, Uganda (From East Africa) and (Malawi) from Southern African front. What better way to unify Africa at a time when everyone is talking about the xenophobic attacks meted out by South Africans to other African nationalities? Sierra Leone takes a bolder step in welcoming our African brothers and sisters to a platform that will soon be not only a international phenomenon, but an African legacy.

Multiple award winning Record Label and hitmakers, Kabaka Multimedia and Entertainment (KME) who are lead organizers have informed this media that this will be an unforgettable night of entertainment come November 30th at the National Stadium. The CEO of KME, Lawyer Abu Bakarr Turay, popularly known as The Kabaka has intimated us that the initiative was to shed light on our stars back home. To have a platform that will be enviable to other African nations and that will welcome both acts that have “arrived” in their career as we have in Diamond Platnumz, Basket Mouth, Jose Chameleone etc..and those who are “on their way” like the many powerful Sierra Leonean musicians, comedians and other entertainment acts. “If they cannot invite us to the big stages that we have envied for decades, we have created one that is attractable enough to have them come here and see what we are also made of and then they will be emissaries for us, to take the good news back to the rest of Africa and beyond..”, CEO KABAKA stated.

On those who stand to benefit back home locally, Kabaka wasted no time in explaining that apart from the fact that his Record Label grooms 100% Sierra Leonean talents and currently have about 8 musicians, and four dancers, there will be six of the nation’s best comedians in this year’s ECOFEST, namely Kindo Armani, Faculty, Richie Obama, Oga Worwor, Yemata and legendary Desmond Benya. There will also be ten Sierra Leonean musicians on stage as main acts such as, Innocent, Morris, Star Zee, Arkman, Camouflage and King Boss LA to name a few (these don’t include the 8 KME artistes). There will be atleast ten local “guest acts” on the night. Also we will have Sierra Leonean DJs who will give us a “party time” hour. From the number of acts, it is clear that 70% of acts who will grace the stage on that night will be Sierra Leoneans, but the African continent will be well represented and they will enjoy Sierra Leonean hospitality as never before. The whole of Africa knows our hospitality is second to none.

On time management, there will be Basket Mouth as main host for the show who will be assisted by two co-hosts. Last year there were eight MCs. Drastically reducing that number and bringing someone who wouldn’t yield to pressure from some artistes to over stay their time on stage is key. Also starting as early as 6PM means we will have six hours of a great show even before midnight. In total we are hoping to give our fans 9-10 hours of nonstop and breathtaking entertainment, The Kabaka furthered.
