Remember the country you fought for its independence without any blood shed
Now the blood is heavily flowing within the streets
Its funny because the colonialists left without need for bloodshed
Alas, our own people have decided to shed blood of thousands
Because power for them, is more important than the lives of their own people
The country you gave its freedom
Has now become a prison to its own people
The country you built on unity
Its now been divided between the oppressors and the oppressed
The country that bragged to be peaceful
Has now become friendly to massacre
They have inflicted fear in us baba
So we can't speak out
They have inflicted pain in us baba
So we stay silent
Those who speak out, are to be abducted baba
So to say we are trapped

We cry for our fallen soldiers
We weep for the lost children
We mourn for our lost nation
