JK can not succumb to pressure from doctors to drop such a savvy public servant. Their demand for amelioration of working conditions sounds relevant but calling upon presidential appointees' resignation is nothing short of insubordination.
This is ludicrous. A colourful CV is nothing if its bearer cannot deliver. And this is where this part of the world goes terribly wrong and the reason why it is underdeveloped. It takes much more than having an impressive CV to be an effective leader. Mponda and Nkya should not just go but deserve to be brought to justice for instigating, instead of averting, the strike.
There is no question of insubordination here. This strike amounts to a rebellion against a corrupt government which presides over a poorly managed public health service.
Radhia, we mean business here in this forum. Stop making sweeping comments.
