Currency Crisis: BoT and MoF, issue a statement!

Currency Crisis: BoT and MoF, issue a statement!

Matokeo yake siku ukiondoka huko unalazimika kubadilisha rands to Dola, kwao faida inakuwa mara mbili!

Bot can only provide short term measure but the truth remains foreign currency regulations is a function of supply and demand

You are not even a mediocre economist. How can foreign currency be regulated by Supply and demand? That is secondary school economics. Is Nape your Classmate?

On forex, for a country like this of ours, talk of trade balance. Export v/s import. The panic explained by Fx Trader is actually stirred by importers, they know how can it be fatal to their business. So it is a struggle against time.

The BoT involvement needs its forex reserve. They can stabilize the gravity falling of our TZS by pumping in part of its reserve, but do they have that strength? NO! NO! we are beggars. Like always we thought there will be a timely external injection of forex! Nothing is coming because of our stupid IPTL saga.

We have several times said about BoT brains. BoT is supposed to be the center of all the nerves unfortunately it is a place for our beloved sons and daughters who failed somewhere but would like to have good salaries. Is Ndulu the best we have in this country to manage our central bank? A man who would allow our reserve be scooped for family use? No! He is another waste of our brain!

Sababu ni nying lakini as long as production base yetu iko poor/weak shilingi itapoteza thamani tu.

JK alipokuwa anaingia Ikulu mwaka 2005 exchange rate ilikuwa 1usd = 1,000 sasa (only 9 yrs) ni 1,710.

Balance of trade depends on both local and global market forces.

We are not running economy in the basis of perfection, BOT must play its role

Mbona sijibiwi au maswalinyangu magumu sana?

This is the professional answer for those still not aware that we are in market driven economy.

There is neither perfect market economy nor perfect monopoly on this EARTH, we run GVT activities in between these two ideologies...!

Otherwise you don't understand the functions and role of BOT

Now, you are right! Ask when you don't understand. Note that currency depreciation or appreciation is a normal phenomenon and these can forcefully be initiated for business or trade benefits. A strong currency never gives you better advantage and similarly a weak currency not necessarily favours you. That is where a good BoT is needed. Regulator! Buffer funding.

BoT needs to intervene for the advantage of trades and businesses. The biggest problem we have is lack of balanced trade. We import more than we export! No manufacturing! No industries! No production of goods! under such situation BoT is weak with no ability to do the buffering. We are a hopeless nation and what you see now, as you have heard, is a few months effect of lacking donors' support!

Shortly let's inform all the staunch CCM supporters : the Simiyu Yetu, FaizaFoxy Tibaijuka, Ritz, Nape, etc. They should learn this elementary Economics. CCM is for the poorest thinkers.

Our trading structure can not be corrected over night, even the Gas boom will not help, and it can prove devastating to have gas drilled along our shores in terms of forexes,

The Government need to quickly change the tax laws and such, every business operating in foreign currency should pay their taxes in the respective currency and not TZS.

But, with the current structure of government financing its budget, any move by BOT to curb the TZS weaking trend could push every one here in Trouble.

So BOT silence mode is proper.

One minute tunaambiwa kuwa budget ya Tanzania ni about 11 billion USD na tunaambiwa kuwa more than 60% of that comes from the donor countries ambayo of course we don't know the figure.

On the other hand we've been told kuwa donor countries have withhold budget support funds

Sasa mbona hizi stories haziko straight?

Fx Trader & John Mashaka

Mjibuni huyu
