The owners of Vodacom know better than to put a Tanzanian at the helm. Who will risk his investments to just appease a mediocre society for sentimental value!?

Why other foreign investors trust Tanzanians up to the helm of the CEO? For instance, Barclays was once led by a Tanzanian citizen namely Mr. Rished Bade. Also, National Bank of Commerce (NBC) whose majority shareholder is the South African ABSA Group was once led by a Tanzanian CEO namely Mr. Lawrence Mafuru. What is so special with VODACOM?

Mediocrity of Tanzanian society (as you purport it to be) will cease very soon. This time we are aiming to turn the tables upside down! Tanzanians' first policy is currently our virtue!
