Position: Barber

The Human Resources Office of Daqing Oilfield Constructions Group Company Limited (DOCG) informs all Tanzanians with the following qualifications and who are ready to work at the Marine Storage Terminal Project (MST) at Chongoleani.

Qualifications:​

  • Certificate in hairdressing and beauty therapy from any recognized institution in Tanzania.
  • Sound knowledge of current hairstyles and trends.
  • Must have working experience of working in a barbershop or hair salon.
  • The ability to follow instructions.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili languages.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming clients and consulting with them on their desired hairstyles.
  • Cutting and trimming hair according to the client’s instructions.
  • Shaving, trimming, and shaping clients’ beards and mustaches.
  • Washing and conditioning clients’ hair.
  • Ensuring that combs, scissors, razors, and other instruments are cleaned and sanitized after each use.
  • Providing hairstyle suggestions to clients.

The Contract shall be for a specific task for the whole construction period of the project.

Place of Work & Residency

The place of work for this position shall be Chongoleani ward in Tanga City, Daqing Oilfield Constructions Group Company Limited (DOCG) will provide food and camp accommodations in our temporary facilities for this position. It is mandatory for individual selected for this position to utilize the camp accommodations.

NOTE: For these positions, applicants from other parts of Tanzania are not required to stamp their application letters at the Chongoleani Ward office; only natives of the Chongoleani Ward are eligible to do so.
