Habari wandugu,

Ukinunua gari jipya Afrika kusini ukalisafirisha kwa barabara kwa kutumia lori, linapoingia Tanzania unalipa kodi sawa na kama ungelileta kwa njia ya meli na kuingilia bandarini?

Mkuu kodi ni kodi haijalishi njia ya usafiri.....
Hata kama ungekuwa unaweza kuliweka kwenye bahasha au kulitransfer kwa njia ya online.
Ndio maana kwenye kila border kuna watu wa customs, unless unaulizia ni wapi kuna njia rahisi za kuhonga au kupitia njia za panya
 
Aisee kumbe inakuwa sawa nilikuwa sijui. Nilikuwa naangalia online naona kununua na kuagiza magari mapya inakuwa bei mbaya kweli so nikaona kwamba watanzania tutakuwa tnanunua magari used mpaka lini. Hizo njia za panya ziko wapi hizo?

Kwa mizigo ambayo sio mizito sana unaweza ukasafirisha kwa kutumia air cargo (air freight) kama ni zaidi ya kg 45 lakini chini ya hapo ni vema utumie express (dhl, ups tnt, fedex etc) inakuwa cheaper na uzuri wa express wanakufanyia clearing wenyewe.

Kwa mizigo kama gari au mizigo ambayo utatumia air cargo au sea huwezi ukafanya clearing mwenyewe inabidi utumie clearing and forwarding agent (ambae atakucharge kuanzia kitu kama laki mbili kwa consignment) Sasa basi kwa huyu clearing agent wako kama ni mzuri na anajua watu bandarini mnaweza mkacheza nae na kuhonga hapa na pale na kucheza na Invoice unaweza ukajikuta labda umesave percent ya ushuru kidogo na kulipa kidogo... (lakini uwezekano mkubwa hao jamaa wa customs wanaweza waka-uplift na kusema ulinunua kwa bei ya zaidi)..

Kwahiyo ninaposema njia za panya ni zile njia ambazo hulipi ushuru au kulipa ushuru kidogo..., mfano kipindi fulani huko Sirari watu walikuwa wanapitisha mizigo usiku kwenye njia za vichochoroni na baiskeli hence hawapitii getini na hawatoi expected ushuru.

    There is no age limit in importation of used vehicles into Tanzania.
  • However all vehicles must undergo roadworthiness’ inspection before shipping. A certificate to that effect must be issued. In case of Japan, Japan Automobile Appraisal Institute (JAAI) does this. This is a non-profit foundation under the supervision of The Japan Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
  • Import Declaration Form (IDF) is applicable on all imports to Tanzania irrespective of value.
  • However, imports whose FOB (Freight on Board) value is US $5,000 and above must undergo a pre-shipment inspection by a company contracted by the Government of Tanzania. In case of Japan, this is executed by Cotecna Inspections.

Approximate Import Declaration Fees
Import Declaration Fees (IDF) is 1.2% of FOB value + US$ 10 per unit.
Important :
It is a must to be registered your vehicle with Tanzania Revenue Authority and have your Tax Identification Number (TIN) before clearing the car into Tanzania.
