The head of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (KKKT), Bishop Dr. Alex Malasusa, recently shared that upon his election on being close to government officials. Bishop Malasusa affirmed that he cannot deny his proximity to the government, emphasizing that he has been raised to respect and obey the authorities.
Speaking in the presence of key government officials and pillars of the state, including President Samia, Speaker Dr. Tulia, Chief Justice Prof Juma, CCM Secretary-General Dr. Nchimbi, Interior Minister, and Regional Commissioner Chalamila, Bishop Malasusa made these remarks. Additionally, he urged politicians to engage in dialogue at the negotiation table rather than resorting to other methods to safeguard the existing peace.
