Gael Clichy's future with Arsenal is in doubt as fears grow that the defender will not sign a new contract.
Clichy’s deal expires at the end of next season and if an agreement cannot be reached by the summer Arsenal will consider selling Clichy rather than risk losing him for nothing.
Talks are ongoing, but that has not stopped the Gunners initiating a contingency plan with Celtic’s Emilio Izaguirre, 24, among potential targets.

Meanwhile, Lincoln City’s on-loan Arsenal defender Gavin Hoyte, 20, has been ruled out for six months with knee-ligament damage.
