I remember those days Cheupec, when CNN was on Arabsat (analogue!!) and KTN was on atlantic bird and I thought I was the only ASAS! I can receive 16e here in the Rift. I checked the beam and looks like it is not covering MT Kenya and narok area!

Google is your good friend. It is what is called the dark side and forum members try to avoid mentioning it. In summary, it's accessing pay-TV through card sharing. The encryption keys are loaded onto a server, you then pay to access the keys from the server. You'll need Internet connection and a receiver that supports the protocol.

Since about 1 - 2 months ago, there's not so much to write home about 22W. There's NHK, CCTVs, Africa 24, I24 News, etc. A Reuters Feed and about 5 Algerian state channels (most of their programming is in Arabic), however these are on the european beam. But that's just my opinion!

I swang a 2.4 pf solid with a fujigold at the 16e today andgot quite a number of transponders. In fact I got 67 channels for the Sub-Saharanbeam transponders but the ONE I was looking for: 10977 H 24113; zero quality onthat one. All the other beams were missing in action.


7e stinks these days. I do not know if there are guys stillwatching that position. Is there anything remaining still?

Belgesel is sometimes quite ok, especially when it is not doing german, or polish, or some other tough language.


And by the way, Az*m is apparently all there too (at 7e) butwith C*n*x and N*gra sitting comfortably on their gate. And it has all thelocals on it too, all encrypted ofcoz.

Not really. I rescanned (today 1 Dec 2015 at 22:27) SES 4 @ 22W and the only Ku-band FTA TV channels I got were; AFRICA 24, Reuters TV News feed, NHK World TV, I24 News, CCTV F, Electron TV and about 5 Algerian State channels. There are 10 other infocard/promotional channels - 2 under CANALSATELLITE the rest under GLOBECAST.

Notice also that the one released by Sameer dated 27 Nov has replaced Seca with power Vu in patch menu, looking nice.

we the srt4950ters should be happy that two engineers are trying their level best now to improve the box, which seemed neglected for so long ,leave everything to themselves.
