Reason for us bro, meanwhile order your 165 cm offset dish for only kes15,000

Upgrade your "dish-farm" to a 165Cm offset dish and get more TPs from your fringe reception Ku-Band satellite such as 7 East ...... Dishes now available. PM Mr. Muzombozi . Will post one or two pictures later in the day.

fta nash i thought muzosat was 150cm where are the 165cm are you talking about?

Morning members, havea 8ft pf dish and want to swap for the 150 cm offset dish, the 8ft pf is huge, costing me space for a dish farm. do you think its a gud idea? will I be able to continue nabbing 7e euro beam? ama ita kuwa downgrade. location nairobi s/c, 8ft pf on 7e as prime, 17e on the side, nabbing all the euro tps, though some like eurosport crack at night. please advice. srt 4950h,latest patch

Its not a downgrade at all, it's actually an upgrade.. With 150x165cm offset, no more cracking signals on 7E. Plus you get to save on space.

Really? 7w to 7e you turn the dish 180 degrees? this is only possible if you are located at longitude zero degrees. i am sure the member you are replying to doesn't reside in this location. If he does, its ok. If not, your reply is very misleading and pain inflicting.

@ Qimeu, meant from 7w to Apstar 7..

Do not swap. Your 8ft dish is capable of multiple LNBs, if you go for 150cm offset, you will compromise 7e especially if you plan to nab 17e. If you decide to swap, change to Openbox combo v8, it will solve your cracking Eurosport.

Hello All, Satellite C-Apstar on my side Dysney HD channels scrambled. Someone stated on his side he can be able to view. Please let me know how.

Their tp weakened about a week or so and i even lost them. I went back to the dish and did some farther fine tuning and they are back. You may have to do the same if you had them before. All the best.

More on Mr. Dongra’s 2.4m Offset Dish Fabrication

All,
This is additional information to the post by Dongra (https://www.jamiiforums.com/tech-ga...lite-world-and-sat-gear-542.html#post11570281) on 5[SUP]th[/SUP] January 2015. Mr. Dongra had promised to share the measurements we used. Here they are.

The Dish from Mr. Subbi came without any of its metal parts (LNB arms, neck support structure, stand, etc). Hence we had an uphill task figuring out how to fabricate these. To start with, we used the following simple formula for calculating the Focal length (i.e., length of LNB arm) as:

Focal length = (Width x Width x Width) / (16 x Depth x Height)

In the case of the off-set dish we had: Height = 270 Cm; Width = 250 Cm; Depth = 22 Cm

Therefore, Focal length = (250 x 250 x 250) / (16 x 22 x 270) = 164.4 Cm
Hence the Focal length given by Mr. Subbi of 165Cm, was fairly accurate. We also decided to go by his LNB side support arm length of 197Cm.

CALCULATING THE OFFSET ANGLE:

According to the measurements on the dish:
AB = 270 Cm = distance across dish from top to bottom (HEIGHT)
BF = 165 Cm = distance of bottom of dish to focal point [i.e., size of LNB arm]
AF = ……. = distance of top of dish to focal point
P = 22 Cm= maximum perpendicular distance from the chord to the dish (or DEPTH).

The offset angle ‘theta’ can be calculated using the following formula:
Angle theta = (1/2) x asin(8P/AB) = 0.5 x asin[(8 x 22) / 270] = 20.68 Degrees

This angle of approximately 21 Degrees is comparable to that of the Eurostar 130Cm which is usually between 21 and 22 degrees.

Now that we had found the Offset angle (20.68 Degrees) above;

Offset Angle = asin [(AF - BF) / AB]

Now to calculate the distance AF = distance of top of dish to focal point ......................

From the formula: Angle theta = (1/2)*asin(8P/AB) = 20.68 Degrees,

Also:
20.68 Degrees = asin [(AF - BF) / AB] = asin [(AF – 165)/270

Sin20.68 = (AF – 165)/270 and therefore AF = 260.35

Ideally, this should be the correct length between the top of the Dish and the tip of the LNB focal arm (of 165Cm) in order to achieve an offset angle of 20.68 Degrees.

Therefore, we went ahead to use these measurements for the fabrication of the LNB arm and its support arms.

THEN CAME THE DILEMMA !!

Once this was done; after installing the dish, we started by tracking 5E and got a very strong quality of 85% for the DW TV Transponder. Next we tried 7East. Then we realized that the LNB was not in the right focal position since it was collecting little signal from 7 East.

To overcome this, we decided to bring down the LNB arm and the two side supports and make them adjustable so that we could play around with the arms during the tracking process! Also, thw wind factor was real trouble since the 100Kg or so dish structure plus its metal was shaking at slight provocation. Note that the 3-inch pipe stand structure (anchored by twelve M-10 Roll-bolts on the concrete base) was very firm.

SHOUTS OF JOY !!

Days later, after re-fabrication of the arms and making extra back supports to act as wind break, finally, we managed to track the 7East Europe beam using Focal length of 157Cm instead of 165Cm; and LNB side support arms of 196Cm instead of 197Cm. This effectively altered the Offset Angle.

However, all apart from three TPs are streaming in stable at quality of 78%. The 3 weak ones are scratching at 40% as indicated by Mr. Dongra (11534 V 30000; 11575 V 30000; 11617 V 30000). This means that further minor adjustments can be done to arrive at the original factory Focal position. Next we added other LNBs for 7W, 5E and Amos5.

Attached below find extra photos with measurements we used. Pardon for lots of mathematics above.

Here in Nairobi along Jogoo Road on entrance of Aquinas high school near Uchumi super market/KCB back on the other side of highway, there is scrap metal yard and they have white fibre plain 8ft offset dish (without frames, standing poles and lnb holders) like the one of FTA-Nash. For more information call ONJODE phone number 0701668754 he works there, and he is one who knows were they are; underneath the other fibre products.

Thanks for the advice. I managed to get all my keys in after editing the softcam file.
All keys for 7E (crypto not b**s btw) are working well but on 68.5E only CNN is opening.
Others like Sony, DSC etc are not. My question is: what makes the stb recognise a particular key to associate it with the channel to be opened?
On 4922 it is normally the frequency of the channel as entered in the PV "Ident" line.
If you enter a wrong frequency from that shown on that stb, the channel will not open.
Duplicate it e.g. 3974V and 3974H and the stb also will not open it, as Dejumbo so graciously and ably showed us earlier.
What should I be paying attention to when copying and pasting my PV keys?
For example this key: P 0090 00 CEF7CE422FF89E ;CNN International South Asia, 68.5E, 3974H
Should I remove "CNN International South Asia" and replace it with "3974" or just "CNN India" ?

Is there anyone here who has managed to open all PV channels on IS 20 and Apstar using Openbox V8?
If there is, kindly please share how you did it. Muzombozi, I am still waiting for more info from you about PV.

I guess if you don't know, it wouldn't hurt to ask. Could you please find out more about offset dishes. No need of calling someone a fraudster. I've noticed you really on the edge, seems your ASAS is one of a kind. It's not kind calling a fellow ASAS fraudster unless he's promising you Hotbird yet you South of the Equator. Peace brother.

Remember you have to use C band lnb and prime focus dish on Apstar 7. Track with this 3880h 30000 or kama ya Vicwa 3872h 29999.

Seems i hadn't done enough of revising... Didn't know that - got an offset dish.
Thanks Vicwa.
