great updates folks!. The MBC channels are back on Nilesat!.. awesome stuff!.. KTN is also easily reaciable on Amos along side Citizen..

just wondering if anyone knows what Satellite Bamba TV uses to distribute its signal countrywide, I understand they are spreading real fast. or could they be using fiber links?

bamba uses terrestrial to distribute their signals. if they uses satellite, it means you would be buying a satellite dish as well.

Oh, I confused it with 11761v. the one you are referring to is listed as 11139v on lyngsat. The last time I tried watching citizen on the tp audio was skipping. Have they fixed the problem?

Amos 5 is readily combinable with ses5 @5e. I've done it on an 80cm offset with 5e as the main. I once tried combining ses5 & the nilesats @7w. I had 5e as the main with 7w above it on 100cm dish but I lost the weaker transponders on nilesat 201. I guess its possible with 120cm or larger with amos 5 additionally mounted below ses5.

South Africa plans to spend about $250 million (about Sh23 billion) this year alone to buy set top boxes for its poorest citizens before switching off analogue television signals sometime after the global June 17 deadline.
To avoid having the free set top boxes resold outside the country, the minister says they will come equipped with an access control system. Muthambi added that South Africa will not meet the international deadline to switch off analogue television signals by June 17.
A switch-off date will be announced at a later date.

The Audio is ok. which decoder are you using? coz I never had such problem. Am using SRT 4922.
