The EPG on DUBAI ONE channel can now be read from top to bottom
instead of bottom to top as has hitherto been the case.
The upside down EPG on Dubai One channel has always been a problem
with some Strong receivers. SRT 4922 is the first one to remove this
bug with patch 167p dated 06-11-2014.

Am currently on 7E. Will aim at Nilesat later just to 'feel' it.

The beauty of strong decoders is that they can be revived incase they are bricked. I have personally revivedsrt 4910,srt 4922,srt 4950Mandsrt 4950H. Infact some of them i bricked them intentionallyjust to experience if they can be resurrected. As for the software issue, it does not matter, any software downloaded be it from crosat or strong website both can work. So if you happen to load 159p version from crosat and later load it with version 134p from strong website, it willnotbrick the decoder.

Save software under USB(empty) flash drive and rename it as 0„3¡ãrom.bin0„3¡À Insert the USB into receiver. Switch main power ON while pressing several times (2 or 3 times while main power is inserted) the 0„3¡ãPower0„3¡À key onremote control.Receiver will auto detect the software and download it.Report back if successful.

This may be because you might not have saved it there in the first place.
Or if you did, you did not put it in the "root" and you left it somewhere in a folder.
Or you saved it as zip and your stb cannot unzip it (It's not supposed to).
You should use this file "SRT4950_SRT4950M_V2.26-20131218.bin" which
you can download from the official STRONG site and save it on your flash disk.
After reviving your stb, you can then patch it to your heart's content.

Which method did you use?I downloaded "SRT4950_SRT4950M_V2.26-20131218.bin" from official strong site and renamed it "rom.bin" and followed the method you provided earlier.
