MyHD and Bein sport. As you can see the difference between the two satellites is negligible you can combine the two if you have a big dish I.e 8ft and above. The bein signal is 40% and myHD channels are 75%. Where is Kungu to advise us on how to improve the signals of the two to say myHD 85% and Bein sport 60% for uninterrupted stability. Thanks

Thanks RJ for that encouragement. I will most def have to nab it. I'm right in almost the centre of the continent, so I guess it will be a walk in the park. What I'm wondering is, will it affect the Q & S for 7e? Cos I cannot trade anything right now with 7e

are those MBC package at yahsat reeachable with 90cm dish....last time i tried it the package was not yet there?

This quite costly ... the whole kit they might find difficult to penetrate the kenyan market anyway good luck for them

This is what dreams are made of for asas victims: The multibeam single dish that is capable of receiving from up to 35 different satellites over an orbital arc of 70 degrees. Here is the link. http://www.gdsatcom.com/Antennas/Data_Sheets/655-0037C_7M_Torus.pdf . I got no clue what it costs but i suspect it must be an arm and a leg,( meaning you might just have to be on a wheelchair as you prepare to receive it from the courier office).

Talking dishes, this Ksh. 350000, 2.4 metre dish on olx probably breaks the forum record locally of any other I have heard. Link is here. 2.4m satellite dish - CBD - TV - Audio - Video

Hi heviejob; Have they started operating?
I see from the advert that they are located at: Customer Service Center, Mugumo House, Kabarnet Road, off Ngong Road. Thanks
Yeah, I can get you a decoder for the price indicated.

The difference is in the pricing and channel offering. Look at the prices and the channels and compare.
Tell me which gives good value for money.

going by what's on the picture.. does free to air mean that Kenyan MUX is available at no fee?

It only the dual view decoder that they first released before the Extra view and the PVR....They are swapping the Dual to the Explorer at a fee if it had an active subscription

To ensure continued delivery of the latest technology to its subscribers,MultiChoice Africa is undertaking a process of upgrading its subscribers' decoders from old legacy decoders to new secure DStv decoders.

The company is therefore offering its active subscribers the opportunity to swop out their legacy decoders with advanced decoders by bringing them to their nearest MultiChoice office (see below list) before 30 November 2014 for single view and dual view decoders and by 28 February 2015for SDPVR 3001 decoders.

Due to the continuous advancement in technology, decoders, like other electronic goods, such as computers and mobile phones become outdated and incompatible with new technology after a few years. The old legacy decoders are not able to "run" the latest software used for the DStv signal to be delivered, and hence will no longer be able to receive a signal once the software upgrade is implemented.

With the swop out project old legacy decoders will be phased out and subscribers with non-compliant decoders will experience a loss in signal.
For subscribers to qualify for the free swop out they will need to be active and paying subscribers on 15 September 2014 on DStv or have been active between 1 August - 15 September 2014.

Freeview bouquets do not qualify. The bouquets that qualify are: Access, Family, Compact, Compact + and Premium.

The swop can be undertaken at all MultiChoice Nigeria branches and accredited dealers across the country.

Guys is ptv @ paksat still showing epl?

Is still showing. The games which were live on it includes Tot vs Mancity,Manutd vs Chelsea,Villa vs Tot.They also show laliga and the Elclasico was live on it.The problem is that the channel is congested with the cricket programmes and sometimes games are not aired.

I am planning to accomodate Paksat 1R on my combo containing Arabsat 5c on 1.8m pf.With these 2 birds you can not miss any great game.
