I am in Addis Ababa. Do the experts here think it is possible to get Eutelsat 3b europe beam with a 2.4 m prime dish?

Its most likely you will get Eutelsat 3b europe beam with a 2.4 meter prime focus as per satbeams predicted footprint.

Seems the footprint is very near Addis Ababa.

I agree. I am using a 65Cm Eurostar Offset dish pointed to 68.5E and still getting the 11057 v 29996 (K24 and Family TV) from 72E. The TP is very stable at 60% quality. Getting the two Sats on one small dish! Using the cheap Stargold LNB (KSh.400). Check the footprint for the 72E Ku-Band below with up to 51dbW-EIRP:

Frequency 11057 v 29996 (K24 and Family TV) is on Eutelsat 70B @ 70.5°E Africa Beam courtesy Wananchi Group's iSAT Africa.

Wananchi Group's iSAT Africa acquired capacity on the Eutelsat 70B satellite for free-to-air digital terrestrial TV (DTT) broadcasts in its home country of Kenya and the wider East Africa region earlier in September.

iSAT Africa's initial channel offering include Family TV and K24, multiplexed in a DVB-S2 platform and uplinked from iSAT's teleport in Nairobi to Ku-band capacity on Eutelsat 70B.

Initial the were 2 active frequencies hosting Family TV which you could get along side other channels on Intelsat 20 using a 90cm offset dish.
The difference was mainly the frequency signal strength.

Frequency 11523 V DVB-S2 QPSK SR 3332

Frequency 11493 V DVB-S2 QPSK SR 2151

Hopefully more local Kenyan and East Africa channels will pop up on Eutelsat 70B.

Tp is very weak. couldn't grab it on 180cm pf & offset lnb. Try a big offset dish.
