thanks bro...that was to be my next project when i am off from the field.
The 3.6m black dish infrontis the one i used to nab 10e,thye green one i have used it to nab both 16e and 17e and finnaly the white one in the back i have used it to nab nilesat.i want togo back in one months time and combine all those in the the big daddy dish.:majani7:

I tried with 1.8m dish and only managed to nail sayare tv in bungoma kenya....but when i did put the 3.6m dish they all popped up....
NB:-- REMEMBER TO PUT THE TEFLON INSIDE THE LNB.

Blind-scan the sat so that we can get the frequency Family tv and K24 are on.

mmmh..lets hope this has the blessing of the the Big 3 players.. otherwise only have the smaller TV stations will on this satellite.

Ideally Signet is suppose to be spearheading such a nobel process since normal terrestrial roll-out is way behind schedule and much of the country still hasnt been covered by the digital signal.

I once reported here that PANG too had an exactly similar idea of making local DTT channels on sat to speed up digital coverage.
I my opinion this new development has just further complicated NMG,SMG,RMS quest for Digital a license, they wouldn't easily allow the Wanainchi affiliated company to air its channels.

anyway let wait and see how this plays out in a few days , esp as we await the supreme court ruling on the digital migration.

I like the interface on the decoder. Which decoder is it?

That's an SRT 4950H running Software Version 2.83P.. only issue I have with it is that it doesn't have a progress bar that shows you how far into a show you are in.. like say you switch channels and find a movie going on, you cant tel if its halfway, just beginning or about to end easily.

other decoders like SkyBox, SRT 4922 have that useful progress bar

I used to view it sometimes back on 6ft the teflon must be in otherwise you'll get nothing

important lesson learnt hard way, I was unable to watch yesterday's match between arsenal and man city on *#man azerb#**n on 7e because it was cracking, after I unplugged LAN cable from SRT 4922, it worked.

Thanks. I wonder how it works... May be the lan cable carries a current whose magnetic feild interferes with the the signal in the nearby lnb port or nearby lnb cable.

Thanks a lot for that update on AD Sports, Kungu, I have a subscription and an AD Sports decoder, found that Sky HD had disappeared, and was going to adjust my dish, nobody apart from you informed me of the changes! One question for you, are all of the OSN frequencies to get the AD SPorts $11 a month package receivable in Nairobi with the same 1.3 m offset dish that I was getting AD sports on? If so, guess I will try to get the $80 OSN decoder that they talk about.

I have been wondering about the same but the big question is how is one going to be able get his hands on a osn decoder.....do u think you can help a brother out
