For SRT4950H:
Save software under empty USB flash drive and rename it as “rom.bin” Insert the USB into decoder. Switch main power ON while pressing the “Power” key on front panel of the decoder. The decoder will automatically detect the software and download it. Wait for the decoder to reboot and remove your usb flash drive. Report back if successful.

Try to rename the file rom only without rom.bin and try again.It should resuscitate.Unless its hardware fault.

It appears that Idman is on the Central Asian Ku beam on that bird. That beam hardly touches Africa except for Nothern Libya and Tunisia. I think unless one has a gigantic dish, (and I mean REALLY Gigantic dish), I think we can consider that one out of reach
