I can help you import the decoder and card from Dubai. But my suggestion is that since EPL is ending in May, hold your horses. After World cup these things are even going to fall in price. Believe me. And importing for 1 person is cumbersome. Get 10 like-minded fellaz who want to import these gadgets and hit my inbox.

Somebody has said annual subscription ranges btn 10-12K. This in addition to the 7500 touted around makes it plausible the total cost hitting 20K or thereabout. I am in. Count me when you get import them. Hopefully I can also use Abu Dhabi Sports which shows documentaries-National Geographic etc.

Yes you should. Maybe with even less. You are way north of equator and more inside the footprint. I used to get it easily with 85cm in Tororo uganda.

Page 2 of this thread gives us the equipment required for this (multi-stream DVB-S2 tuners). Ordinary decoders cannot handle these frequencies.

Karanjis or any other member, How does one receive Digiturk? If by software upgrade, kindly advice me on how to go about it. I have a 2wk old Srt4922 decorder and 1.8PF dish and able to nail other 7E tps. Thanx

Srt4922, 1.8 pf dish and stargold fuji ku prime-focus lnbf (damage: Ksh 1600), Flash disk/drive to update software.
Software:
Click to download this software, unzip it and save it in flash drive. SRT4920_4922_155p_140425.zip
Instructions:
Insert flash drive into usb port of decoder.
Locate the software you saved then select it.
Wait to install.
CAUTION: Ensure stable power supply to avoid frying the stb.
Once the installation is complete the stb will reboot by itself.
Installation.
I assume you know how to set up decoder and dish.
while on aljazeera tp align dish and lnbf skew for maximum signal.
If all goes well you would be able to enjoy not only the digiturk asas package, but also ability to use Huawei modem on your decoder.

Thanx a bunch Flybird for the info, I have similar accessories plus a 90cm offset dish but am tuned to MBCs on 8W with the 1.8PF+single stargold fuji. I'll try dedicating the 90cm offset to MBCs and direct the 1.8PF to 7E over Labour day. If it fails, then I'll have to get a 130cm offset for the MBCs.... this dish is too cumbersome to transport!:thinking:

Yes, the majority of channels in these 5-Star hotels are FTA. Check below an extract that I posted here earlier about the installation of Nilesat, Badr etc in the 5-Star May Fair hotel in London with over 400 rooms. And I can assure you these hotels are really 5-Star. Don't even try to compare them to our Hiltons, Serenas, Sheratons etc of East Africa. I imagine if you uttered a word like "Al Shabab" in May Fair Hotel, you could easily be sent to Guantanamo within one minute.
