Yesterday I came across the "Thy Word QC-XPlus Series V DVB-T2/S2 Combo Receiver Set Top Box". It retails for KSh.12000 (USD142) at Digital-Life Electronics, Luthuli-Kmae Roads Junction. The HD, silver-coloured, CCK-Approved decoder (http://www.digitalkenya.go.ke/list-of-type-approved-dvb-t2-set-top-boxes-and-authorised-vendors) has a Twin-Tuner, LNB-In and Loop Out; RF-In and Out; Composite Video Input (RCA Jacks); a USB 2.0 port at the back; Input Symbol rate for DVB-S/S2: 2 - 45Ms/s; DiSeqC 1.2 and USALS Compatible; etc. However, it does not have an HDMI-Out port.
The dimensions of the huge STB are approximately 30Cm length X 20Cm Width X 6 Cm height

I know my guy sells them(Avartacam and DQCAM) but he is not Selling currently bse the servers got attack till when things are ok
Avartacam acc opens W4/W7 and nilesat
DQCAM is for hotbird and Nilesat

Am not familiar with Strong decodrs but a guy above Identified it supports AvartacamHD acc

When the repair is over I will post here coz many have SRT 4922 decoders

With SRT 4922 you need to connect it to a dongle called azsky G6 for stable internet to watch 7w

Must be the atmosphere..full of water vapour, its expected..a bigger dish would sort you out big time. 130cm. it rained last night here and the signal never cracked a bit..

also check the connectors ensure water does not get inside. you can also use pvc tape between the lnb and connector to ensure that when it rains water does not enter
