i came to realise that when i connect modem to SRT4922, network mode is automatic changed from GSM preferred to WCDMA/HSDPA(simply 3G)
and when this network is not available , it cannot connect.

Hi, in general speaking, is theer big perfomance difference between a single and twin lnb? recently saw a twin Starlife lnb going for 900, would it have mre percentage in quality compared with the single starlife?

Please make sure you have loaded patch which supports 3G modem; 137p and later. Then insert your modem and go to System Settings ---IP Settings and check drop down menu to see if you have 2 menus: Ethernet and 3G. This way you will know if modem is supported by Decoder.

Hi Gitz, welcome on board. A 90cm dish is agud start 4 u. Lakini b prepared 2 upgrade 2 130cm EUROSTAR offset tat goes for only 5K in Nairobi of course LutHULI AVENUE. Use de Top Movies tp:10727H27500 for tracking purposes. Halafu input dubai one tp:11778V27500. Finally input CNN TP:11977V27500. FINE TUNE UR SETUP& twik de lnb properly till u obtain maximum Quality posble. ALWAYS ensure tat de mounting pole is: (1) @90 degrees in other words-upright (2) very firm& (3) clear from obstacles. U may then want 2 do an AUTOSCAN but be warned tat u'll nab so many arabic channel ambazo unaweza kuzidelete. On diz sat u shld nab many goodyz including most international news channels. If u luv Action Movies hapa ndio kwao. Pliz note tat on de same position u hve Eutelsat@7w esp 4 de MBCs(arguably de best action movie channels tp12322V27500). Welcome Gitz. at 7w (nilesat) you ca get movie and serries channels like: mbc 2, mbc action, mbc4, fox, fox movies, b4u plus, kanal 4, etv3, mbc max, bahrain 55, dubai 1 etc. News: Aljazeera english, aljazeera america, euronews, cnn, press tv, bbc world etc. to name but a few. With proper knowledge you can also watch bein sports(with bein sports decoder or other way). You can get more than 800 tv stations from this sat, mostly arabic but also with a no. of interesting eng ones. Good luck as you get initiated into this mad world of fta.

1- How does SRT 4922 stream media files to or from a PC? What is the procedure?
2- When transfering a channel list file (cndf format) from one SRTY 4922 to another, the stb asks you to choose
between Default or Normal. Which is the right one?
3- What is the use of FTP under Menu-External Device?

hd channels...6 to 15 have gone secure...the problem is that signal strenth is poor...channels keep on cracking...pic nt stable....i use humax hd free...nd is already paired

Sent a friend who was going to Dubai last month. He got me the HD Free decoder and confirmed that he had registered it. Turns out the useless fellow did not, and now i am bila HD6 to 15. Nkt.

Just got to mine.....the suspense was killing me.
Mine is ok. I have the HD free. All channels are there except the SD 11 and 12. There is no hint in drop of signal or quality my side.
