I have commissioned a welder to start work on a 240cm offset.Any idea on the f/d ratio for the dish.Asas levels on rise and by the way cost to incur 5000.

Just 5k?fill me on the info.....a fd of 0.4 to 0.6 is a good start

With that dish size, E7A and Nilesat 102 not possible. You may succeed with 201 and E7WA. Use Dubai One and Fox tps to track. Ultimately though, a bigger dish will be required.

hi guys i have two fta decoders, one connected to a 4 way switch and the other to the lnb out of the first decoder. set up works fine but i cannot watch two channels from different polarities at the same time eg if channel on decoder 1 is tuned to a channel with horizontal polarity, the second decoder will only receive horizontal polarized signals and not vertical polarized channels reverse is also true. secondly decoder 2 only "sees" only the first port of the 4 way diseqc switch. any thing i should do differently

just finished editing the favourite list on the new humax free hd receiver. as always the hd quality on humax is superb. the free hd remote is not a good piece of work although the 2020 rcu is also recognised. the most depressing thing about all humax receivers is the lack of the blindscan feature. the receiver is quite small and uses 12 volts dc and once the card is registerd and married you can't use it on any other decoder.
currently watching barca vs malaga.

if a friend in kayole was able to receive some channels on nilesat201 and all channels on eutelsat 7west A, you being in kiambu will be nab the same.
make sure your dish is fixed properly i.e post supporting is upright and vertical
then nab 7e using 12728 V 30000 and when you hit green lower your further to get nilesat. use 11296H27500.

I will take some photos later today when i go back home and will post here for you to see. but check-out FTA-Nash's photos posted back in December 2013. i got an idea from him and it worked for me too.

if a friend in kayole was able to receive some channels on nilesat201 and all channels on eutelsat 7west A, you being in kiambu will be nab the same.

Yeah. I enjoyed a movie there in HD quality lat night. Same movie was also available in their SD equivalent

which HD channels are you watching on nilesat 101 and 102,

find a 120cm offset and extend all round with a 35cm plate and it will be a 190cm..check the attached pic of a 90cm offset extended

Hi members, I have finally found a place in Kampala selling 8ft(240cm) pf dish at $200 but the problem is that they have only mesh. now my question is, Is it worth if i acquired this mesh dish and foiled/ painted it to target digiturk. do you guys think i will be able to receive good signal quality like people using the original 8ft pf dishes. members who have foiled dishes pliz advise. i need to conclude on this matter within this week as i am installing the equipment this coming weekend.
