Just checking folks; between Eurostar and Stargold C-band dishes of the same size (240cm) which would one opt for on the basis of sturdiness and long life? Noted a slight difference in their prices.

Never seen a Stargold dish but if I had a choice I wouldn't go for Eurostar at least not the ones sold at luthuli shops. Very light a spanner dropping from 2 feet will give it a permanent dent. Bolts and nuts are made of ungalvanised steel and starts rusting within weeks of rain. No washers.

I think the only thing durable about it is the Huge EUROSTAR label.. it doesn't fade away.. hadi maneighbour wanakunickname "Eurostar man"

Nice and neat. I swear I will never tie my lnbs with wire and rope again.
I reached that same decision one time.
But i had to incur some cost. These cost 15.99 USD and cover up to 4 Ku lnbs.
They are much easier to use for skewing and elevation.

Hae my Friend, If you can get Gulfstar down there just gerrit, Eurostar then Stargold last in that order. Eurostar that's greyish usually has a better gauge.

I concur with GIDEN, Gulf stars are made to last, my two Gulf star dishes are 5 and 6 years old, but they seem like they have been bought lat year, they are thick and heavy too.

Our unscrupulous dealers in Kenya import low gauge Eurostar dishes.

Thanks for this sir. I now have some kind of a starting point.
