Please can anyone here tell me which is better to use between LNB to a DECODER. A CATV signal amplifier and a line amplifier .

Better look for a high gain LNBF and/or a bigger dish. Remember a wider bucket means more rain water will be collected.

i once tried a eurostar line amplifier. it cutdown signal by 2% so it is very useless

JF Expert thank you. I tried it. First i use CATV line amp ,i power it & i didn't get signal on my decoder. But when i connect my line amplifer i get 2% increase and the way i did it is by making the cable from the LNB 15meter then connecting the line amplifer and 1meter to the decoder . ie
((LNB--15meter--line amp--1meter--decoder)). #Thr3eee Expert pls take note. You must use a lengthy cable to achive gain. Thank you all.

CATV=cable television amp. For tv (radio frequency) much lower than satellite. LNB power can't pass through CATV. Sorry for talking when lecturers are busy.

You guys in kenya should stop suffering yourself looking for satellites to watch....you have two great package with about 400 channels at your disposal that you can easily receive the signal and i guarantee you first class channels that would give you everything you need from football,movies,general entertainment etc.......zap Tv on 36 east and canal parabole on 16 eastwould sort you out...maximum dish size can not be more than 1.2 meter that's if you cant get them with 1 meter or less...i wish i am in kenya....Though i still receive both package here in south africa with a 90cm dish

Exactly what i wanted to suggest to him. Add 57E Cband below your Is20 its weak but with your professional ism you will make it. A friend who is a member here has done it on 6ft solid. Above Apstar you can also add Measat for CI and history but you cant get the BBC and Axn. I will also add Measat soon i get time.

I have the same reciever on 180 cm & it presents me with the same problem. okwee (one of the forum members) visited me & we tried many things but to no avail.

Mine doesn't even pick the Discs...

yeah i think its have some software problem thatsy it cannot detect same tp or freq
