Revealing the news to futaa.com, AFC Secretary General Winston Kituyi said that they have been contacted by their hosts over the decision.
No stadiums
-I think Yanga didnt have proper plans for the build-up match.
-At first, we were to play in Dar es Salaam but they later shifted the venue to Arusha whichs already booked for a state function. However, reports indicate that Yanga have camped in Arusha. They are said to be preparing to participate in a certain tournament in Zanzibar; that means they had other plans.
-On that basis, the match has officially been called-off. But we are planning for some friendly matches to keep our players busy, said Kituyi.
Leopards were slated to depart on Sunday 19 August for Dar es Salaam.
