In the morning and in the evening, as well as after bowel movement, clean the vulvar region which collects the natural discharge. Washing more often in order to feel fresher is harmful and pointless. After passing feces, clean the area, always wiping away from vagina towards the anus. Use mild soaps, never harsh one Dry the vulva using natural fabrics such as cotton, tapping with fingers, never rubbing. Avoid so called refreshing douches. The vagina is not dirty, and it has its own balance which can be altered (and harmed) by internal washings. Cotton panties are ideal. As far as possible, avoid the constant wearing of panty liners, pantyhose, tight panties and trousers that can hinder the circulation of oxygen. Lack of oxygen provides a great environment for the germs that thrive in the absence of air. Avoid close-fitting clothes (that can put irritating pressure on the vulva) and the use of talcum powder. Use good quality sanitary napkins. If you use tampons, change them frequently. Tampons are good breeding ground for germs and may be possible cause of diseases.
