The oldest woman to climb Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 m; 19,340 ft) is Angela Vorobeva from Russia (87), born on February 4, 1929.
Ms Vorobeva reached the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, aged 86 years 267 days, on 29 October 2015.
She received a Guinness World Records for the oldest woman to climb mount Kilimanjaro which is the tallest mountain in Africa and the highest stand alone in the world.
The group expedition of which Mrs Vorobeva was part departed from Londorossi Gate (2,360 m) on 23 October and reached Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) at midday on the seventh day (29 October) of the trek. On 30 October, the group descended to Mweka Gate (1,640 m).
