First, you need to make sure you installed a supported processor.

Below is the link to the quickspecs for the dc7800.

You will find the list of supported processors on pages 8 and 9.

QuickSpecs Overview

If you did not install a supported processor, there is nothing you can do to get rid of the microcode error, except to install a supported processor.

If you did install a supported processor, then you need to download and install the microcode update from your PC's support and driver page.

You will need a bootable usb flash drive with some basic DOS command files on it.

Then you copy the contents of the DOS microcode update folder to the flash drive, boot from the flash drive, type in the executable command to run the microcode update (normally flashbin.exe) and update the microcode.

Below is a handy link to make a bootable usb flash drive and a folder with the dos files you need to run the commands.

Don't forget to also copy the contents of the HP microcode download DOS folder to the flash drive too.

Memory...

You need to have one 2 GB module installed in the black slot and the other 2 GB module installed 2 slots away from the black slot.

For example: X is where you install the memory and O is a blank slot. One of the X's has to be the black slot.

X O X O

Yes, the date and time not set error is probably due to the fact that you reset the cmos and you just need to go into the BIOS and set the date and time.

If you get that error again, it probably means you need to change the coin cell battery on the motherboard as it must be weak and can't hold the BIOS settings.
