Why do you think people are so cynical, about politics and politicians in Tanzania?

Cynicism in politics is a positive and embraceable thing both for the party in the government and those/that not, if any . Issuing a blank check to politicians shouldn't be allowed, being cynical is one way of not doing so.

Cynicism in politics emanates from the actions or non actions of the ruling elite.
During Mwalimu's rule there was no cynicism. With Mwinyi the problem was that the government was thought to have gone on vacation. Mkapa revived some hopes that somehow we have a leader who is serious. But his arrogance and the embrace of corruption as his modus operandi renewed the peoples cynicism which has escalated under the 4th phase government.
