Kuna kesi moja inaendelea huko Uingereza ambapo mwanasheria wa Kiingereza aliyekuwa anafanya kazi kwenye law firm ya Kitanzania, alifukuzwa baada ya kupuliza kipenga.

Mwanasheria huo alihisi kuwa managing partner wa hiyo law firm ya kibongo alikuwa anajihusidha na money laundering na kutoa rushwa ili kupewa deals.

A former partner with City firm Clyde & Co has been granted permission to appeal to the Supreme Court against a ruling that she was not protected under whistleblowing legislation.


Krista Bates Van Winkelhof, an equity partner with the firm, was based principally in Tanzania where she was employed by local firm Ako Law under a joint-venture agreement.

Huyo wala hakuwa Mtanzania. Angekuwa Mtanzania sidhani kama angepuliza kipenga.

Lakini nafikiri inategemea pia kama whisle blowers wanalindwa kisheria. Sijui kama wana protection yoyote hapa nchini. Unawezakuta baada ya huyo Mwingereza kupuliza kipenga, firm haijachukuliwa hatua zozote za kisheria, let alone kuchunguzwa kama ni kweli.
