Three weeks into their missing status, our Deputy Presidents have both been produced to court. Dr. Lina Zedriga is at the Gulu Court while her counterpart Jolly Jacklyn Tukamushaba has been produced at Kabale Court. The two are being charged with trumped up charges of incitement to violence. Relatedly, our EMC member comrade John Mary Ssebuwufu has also been produced at Nakawa Court after a period of three weeks under incommunicado detention!

Dr. Lina Zedriga was produced before the Court in Gulu via Zoom today. She had been transferred overnight from Luzira Women’s Prison to Gulu Women’s Prison. The Magistrate has meanwhile ordered that she be brought physically before the Court in Gulu at 1:00 pm.

We demand the immediate release of Mama Lina! She is not a criminal. (Admin)

What happened at Lubaga Cathedral today is most unfortunate. History will remember how an Archbishop of the Catholic Church received a call from Gen. Museveni ordering him not to conduct a mass for Dr. Kizza Besigye and other political prisoners. We appreciate the many Ugandans who turned up in solidarity!
